Actor Tom Hanks confirmed on Instagram that he and his wife Rita Wilson were diagnosed with the coronavirus while working on a movie in Australia.
Hanks said he and his wife “will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.”

In stark contrast to the alarmists who are fomenting mass hysteria that “we’re all going to die” from coronavirus, Hanks calmly shared the news, writing:
“Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too.
To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.
The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. We’ll keep the world posted and updated. Take care of yourselves!”
Hanks’ son, rapper Chet Hanks, assured fans that his parents are “not trippin’” and “not worried” after testing positive for COVID-19.
On an Instagram video, Chet said: “It’s true. My parents got coronavirus. Crazy. They’re both down in Australia right now because my dad is shooting a movie down there. I just got off the phone with them [and] they both are fine.”
Chet underscored that his mom and dad are not freaking out over their diagnosis because they’re taking all the steps necessary to combat the virus.
Chet explained: “They’re not even that sick. They’re not worried about it. They’re not trippin.’ But they’re going through the necessary health precautions, obviously.”

It’s not shocking that Tom Hanks — a 63-year-old diabetic — got the coronavirus. Medical experts have warned that older people and individuals with underlying health issues like diabetes are high risk for contracting COVID-19.
Numerous physicians project that a large portion of the world population will get the coronavirus. However, they say that 98% to 99% of those infected will not be harmed by it.

Others pointed out that the barrage of sympathy and goodwill showered on Hanks was a stark contrast to the gleeful celebration many leftists reveled in when they learned that Trump supporters might have been exposed to the coronavirus at CPAC.
