Failed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton revealed that her apology over her email scandal was made against her “better judgment.”
The former first lady reflected on the apology for using an unauthorized email server during her tenure as secretary of state in a segment in “Hillary,” a new documentary released Friday on Hulu.

“We’ll just say what you did was a mistake. It was dumb. It’s over. And that will end it,” Clinton said about the controversy that plagued her 2016 presidential campaign.
“I wasn’t convinced of that. But I understood the frustration of my campaign,” she said in the documentary about her life, according to the Washington Examiner.
“So against my better judgment, I said, ‘OK, fine,'” she added, referring to the eventual apology she offered to the American people on ABC News.
“As I look back at it now, even though it was allowed, I shouldn’t have used two accounts,” Clinton had said in the September 2015 interview. “That was a mistake. I’m sorry about that. I take responsibility.”
But nearly five years later, Clinton is sure that the apology was not the right move.
“It turned out to be a mistake because look at all the oxygen it was sucking out of my campaign. But it didn’t end it,” she contended in the Hulu interview. “It didn’t end it at all. And it never ended, it never ended.”
Then-FBI Director James Comey recommended that no charges be brought against Clinton in 2016 after an investigation that coincided with the presidential race. The Democrat and her team were chided for being “extremely careless” in handling classified information but Coney flip-flopped later and reopened the investigation just ahead of the November election, only to drop it again.
In her pity-party of a book following her election loss to President Donald Trump, Clinton appeared to take responsibility but blamed her defeat at the polls partly on the scandal.
“I own that,” she wrote in “What Happened,” but added: “The further we get from the election, the stranger it seems that this controversy could swing a national election with such monumental consequences.”
The Hulu documentary, which also features former President Bill Clinton excusing his infamous affair with a White House intern, has conveniently thrust Hillary Clinton back in the headlines. And this just as the Democratic primary race took some dramatic turns with the end of multiple campaigns and the emergence of former Vice President Joe Biden as the frontrunner after repeated failures.
Although Clinton told “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon this week that she was “not planning to endorse” any of the Democratic hopefuls yet, she held nothing back in her gushing praise of Biden, saying he is a “deeply decent person” who “doesn’t take cheap shots at people.
Conservative actor James Woods suggested Clinton has something up her sleeve.
She’s running. She didn’t pump another gallon of Botox into that face for nothing. #TheTerminator pic.twitter.com/mx75fqR0S7

Earlier this week, he offered up an eyebrow-raising theory on Clinton becoming Biden’s running mate.

Woods doubled down on the shudder-causing theory in another tweet with the hashtag #MarkMyWords.
Democrats are going to put this drunken hag on the ticket as VP nominee. If Biden is elected, they won’t Epstein him. It’ll simply be “suggested” he step down for the “good of the nation.” And hello, Madame President. #MarkMyWords pic.twitter.com/CYHFoapULm

Twitter users were terrified of the idea invoked by Woods but many reminded him that the Democrats have no chance against Trump.
I actually had a dream about this last night. It was more like a nightmare, tbh. God help us.

They won’t win though – which means another non-selling Hillary book is in the works. Wonder who she’ll blame.

Sorry, @RealJamesWoods. There is one huge flaw in your theory.
