Tucker: Biden’s ‘fading intellect’ not a problem, makes him easier for devious Dems to control

Fox News host Tucker Carlson exposed the “darkly clever people” in the Democrat Party who see 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden’s “fading intellect” as a benefit.

Carlson began his monologue on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday with an apology for underestimating the Democratic establishment in its sudden rallying to support the former vice president who is “noticeably more confused” these days.

“Again and again, we told you Joe Biden would never be the Democratic nominee. We were wrong,” Carlson said in response to Biden’s resurrected presidential campaign and Super Tuesday success.

“How did we screw that up? Mostly because we don’t think like Democrats think,” he added, noting that “group cohesion is the root of their power.”

“You’re probably wondering the most basic question of all: If elected president, could Joe Biden really oversee this complex nation of 320 million people?” Carlson asked, leading to a video clip of another Biden gaffe.

“To the cynical and darkly clever people who run the Democratic Party. Biden’s fading intellect is not a handicap. It’s an opportunity,” Carlson said.

“Joe Biden is weak, and he’s getting weaker. Ask anyone who knows him, or who’s watched him carefully over the past 50 years. Biden is noticeably more confused now than he was even last spring when he entered the race,” he added.

“Why is this good news for the Democratic establishment in Washington?” the Fox News host asked. “Because it means they can control him. That’s one reason the other candidates were so eager to swing in behind Biden the instant he won a state.”

Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and former South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg, among other 2020 Democratic candidates, dropped out of the race and quickly endorsed Biden. Carlson shared video clips of their remarks as well as comments from others, including former FBI Director James Comey, voicing support for the 77-year-old Democrat.

“All of these people are happy for the same reason: Joe Biden is fading and uncertain,” Carlson said. “Weak leaders are vessels for the stronger forces around him. And no force in American politics is stronger — more aggressive or better organized — than the narrow little interest groups that comprise the Democratic coalition.”

“With [Mike] Bloomberg out and [Elizabeth] Warren humiliated, there is nothing left in American politics to stop Joe Biden’s ascent to the Democratic nomination and domination of the party,” he added.

“So get ready for Joe Biden. He’s more threatening than he looks,” Carlson concluded.

As evil a plan as some may think that is, actor James Woods offered up an eyebrow-raising theory about Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Woods suggested that the twice-failed presidential candidate who doesn’t seem to go away could be tapped as Biden’s running mate, allowing her the perfect perch from which to fulfill her White House dream when Biden “will eventually ‘gracefully’ resign as his dementia worsens.”

Clinton has insisted that she is not endorsing any of the Democratic candidates, but she held nothing back singing Biden’s praises during an appearance on the “Tonight Show” Wednesday, saying she has known him “a really long time,” and that he is a “deeply decent person” who “doesn’t take cheap shots at people.”

“He doesn’t insult people as a way of, you know, trying to put people down and lift himself up,” she added.
