Former South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg slammed socialist Bernie Sanders during his concession speech after Bernie won the Nevada caucus.

Buttigieg warned Democrats not to rush to crown Bernie as its party’s nominee because Sanders is leading “an inflexible, ideological revolution” that alienates most Americans.

“Before we rush to nominate Senator Sanders in our one shot to take on this president, let us take a sober look for what is at stake for our party, for our values, and for those with the most to lose,” Buttigieg said. “Senator Sanders believes in an inflexible, ideological revolution that leaves out most Democrats — not to mention most Americans.”

Buttigieg said Bernie’s militant position that “capitalism is the root of all evil” is misguided, and that Sanders’ socialist revolution “would go beyond reform and reorder the economy in ways that most Democrats — not to mention most Americans — don’t support.”

Buttigieg said if Democrats want to beat President Trump, they need to nominate someone who won’t polarize the Party and the country. Mayor Pete argued that having a socialist president will have a damaging trickle-down effect on the rest of the Party.

Buttigieg also suggested that the violent rhetoric of the “Bernie Bros” will tear the Democratic Party and the country apart.

“That is a real difference from Senator Sanders’ revolution with the tenor of combat and division and polarization leading to a future where –whoever wins the day — nothing changes the toxic tone of our politics,” Pete said.

Buttigieg than boasted: “Ours is the only campaign that has beaten Senator Sanders anywhere in the country,” referring to the Iowa Caucuses.

“I believe the only way to truly deliver any of the progressive changes that we care about is to be a nominee who actually gives a damn about the effect you are having from the top of the ticket, on those critical front-line House and Senate Democrats that we need to win.

It is different from Sen. Sanders’ willingness to ignore or dismiss or even attack the very Democrats that we absolutely must send to Capitol Hill in order to keep Nancy Pelosi as Speaker.”

Buttigieg echoed the sentiments of many centrist Democrats, who are terrified that Bernie’s radical policies will tear the Party apart.

“We can prioritize either ideological purity or inclusive victory,” Buttigieg said. “We can either call people names online or we can call them into our movement. We can either tighten a narrow and hardcore base or open the tent to a new and broad a bighearted American coalition.”

Bernie supporter Bill de Blasio, the communist mayor of New York City, responded to Buttigieg by trashing him on Twitter.

De Blasio tweeted: “Hey Pete Buttigieg, try to not be so smug when you just got your ass kicked. You know how we form a winning coalition to beat Trump? With a true multi-racial coalition of working Americans: something Bernie Sanders has proven he can do and you haven’t. Dude, show some humility.”

De Blasio got dragged on Twitter over his pompous post.

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld tweeted: “There are people sleeping on the frozen NYC sidewalks of every block. Glad your [sic] on top of your Twitter though.”

CNN’s left-wing pundit Joe Lockhart quipped: “Who cares what you think?”

Mayor Bill de Blasio has dismal approval ratings.
