Rachel Maddow: ‘The dark days are not coming … the dark days are here!’

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow is trying to woo the many viewers she lost last year when the Russia-collusion narrative that she rabidly pushed failed. How? By crying wolf again.

This time, Maddow issued chilling warnings of more world-ending apocalypses to come under President Trump.

Keep in mind that we’re still waiting for the numerous nonexistent apocalypses and World War IIIs that Maddow and the left-wing media had previously portended would happen.

“The dark days are not coming,” Maddow spat ominously. “The dark days are here!”

Maddow predicted the latest collapse of humanity under President Trump in an incoherent monologue on her talk show.

Rachel rabidly shrieked: “These are very dark turns the country has taken very quickly. This is not a warning. The dark days are not coming! The dark days are here!”

“Those of us who have imagined times like this for our country — who might have thought that the heroic thing for us to do as citizens if our country ever took these turns would be to sound the alarm — [would be] to articulate what’s wrong with the direction our country is taking and to warn people about where it’s heading.

For those of us who thought that would be the kind of heroism called for, we were wrong. Because at least now, that’s no longer the form of heroism that we need. That time is past.

These guys are not sneaking around trying to get away with stuff. They are proclaiming openly that the rules gone. The government will be turned against you if you stand against this president. That is not a warning. That is where we are!”

Maddow was referring to reports that President Trump got angry at acting DNI (Director of National Intelligence) Joseph Maguire because one of his staffers leaked unconfirmed reports that Russia is trying to meddle in the 2020 election — and that Vladimir Putin prefers Trump to win.

Rachel gleefully dusted off her tinfoil hat and breathlessly crowed:

“The [acting] director of national intelligence was just fired this week because somebody in his office had the temerity to tell Congress what Russia is doing this time to get him elected again.

I think this turn of events just in the last week or so in our country calls on us as citizens to do any number of things.”

For the record, Bernie Sanders’ camp was informed last month that Putin was trying to help Bernie win the Democratic primary race. There was no left-wing media outrage or charges of Bernie being a Russian puppet over this.

Interestingly, when the intelligence community got word that Russia is trying to help Bernie win, they immediately notified the Sanders campaign.

In contrast, when Obama’s intel community suspected that Russia wanted to help Trump in 2016, they didn’t inform the Trump camp. Instead, the Obama FBI repeatedly lied to the FISA court in order to illegally spy on Trump aides.

As we approach the November election, voters should expect more sensationalized fear-mongering from anti-Trump networks MSNBC and CNN. Why? Because fear-mongering fuels cable-news ratings.

Rachel Maddow’s ratings plunged right after Robert Mueller released his final report in July 2019, concluding that there was no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.

This isn’t surprising since Maddow’s viewership spiked dramatically in 2018 and 2019 after she overhyped the Russia collusion hoax to be the centerpiece of her nightly talk show.

Once the Mueller report concluded there was no evidence to indict President Trump with, Maddow’s ratings collapsed. Maddow still has good ratings, but they’re considerably lower than they were at the height of her manufactured Russia! Russia! Russia! hysteria.

Flashback:  In 2017, Maddow humiliated herself when she gleefully bragged that she had gotten her hands on two pages of President Trump’s 2005 tax returns.

Maddow breathlessly teased her big “scoop,” promising to prove that Trump was a tax evader who wasn’t as rich as he claimed.

Unfortunately for Maddow, Trump’s 2005 tax returns showed the opposite: The billionaire paid $38 million in taxes on income of $153 million.

Trump’s tax returns contradicted left-wing accusations that he paid no income taxes at all, as Hillary Clinton and left-wing media repeatedly claimed.

Maddow inadvertently undermined an October 2016 New York Times story claiming Trump had paid no income taxes between 1995 and 2013.

Maddow’s tax return “bombshell” showed that President Trump paid more taxes than other wealthy people at similar income levels. Moreover, Trump paid a higher tax rate than Democratic socialist Bernie Sanders and former president Barack Obama.
