Bless his heart. Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg was roasted on Twitter for his failed attempt at slinging Texas slang while pandering to voters in Houston.
At the time, Bloomberg unconvincingly bragged that President Trump is scared of running against him.
“Mini-Mike”– who looked so nervous he’d worry the warts off a frog — made the claims while speaking to the Harris County Democratic Party.
Bloomberg awkwardly stammered as he read off the teleprompter: “Now if I were from Texas, I might say Donald Trump is scared as a cat at the dog pound. But since I’m from New York, I’ll put it this way: We’re scaring the living hell out of him! And we’re just starting.”

Texas Monthly magazine polled its newsroom and concluded that “none of us could recall ever having heard this aphorism before.” In Bloomberg’s defense, the phrase was included in a past Texas Monthly article about “Texas sayings.”
Whether the adage is authentic or not, the incident spotlights the huge problem that Democrats Mike Bloomberg, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, and Pete Buttigieg are having with connecting to everyday Americans.
Senator Ted Cruz of Texas tweeted: “Um, nobody in Texas says that. Ever. Translation: ‘Somebody told me that lots of people in ‘fly-over country’ have animals. Let me try to say something folksy about animals so the yokels will think I can relate.”

Another Texan remarked: “As a person from Texas, I have never said that.”

Trump supporter Crypto Chopko dismissed the notion that President Trump is scared of facing Bloomberg in the general election, given his awkwardness on the stump.
“No one is scared of you Mike Bloomberg…No amount of money will buy The Election.”
No One Scared of You @MikeBloomberg Or Your Living Hell Existence..Still A Weasel..No Amount of Money Will By The Election. Coup’detat On Mr..President Will Not Stand. We Have Bigger Fish To Fry Than Your Two Sided talk To No One..Never Be President.Texas and New York Trump 2020

Despite Mike Bloomberg’s incompetence at campaigning, he has rocketed in the polls, thanks in part to his massive ad buys across the country. In some betting markets, Bloomberg has leapfrogged past Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
Many mistakenly believe this is solely because Bloomberg has aggressively flooded the air waves with campaign ads. In reality, it reflects the Democrats’ growing anxiety with its current crop of candidates.
Biden has tumbled in the polls due to his dismal performances at the Iowa Caucuses and the New Hampshire primary.
While Bernie has an enthusiastic base, the Democratic Party doesn’t want him as its candidate because he’s viewed as too radical and extreme.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg’s failed attempt to mimic Texas slang is reminiscent of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s racist bid to pander to black voters by using bad grammar and a faux Southern accent.
AOC’s laughable fake “black accent” reminded Americans of Hillary Clinton’s embarrassing pandering at a black church.
This is today’s Democratic Party: Inauthentic snobs who talk down to voters.
