With only days remaining until President Donald Trump’s inevitable acquittal, comedian Bill Maher felt it prudent to produce his own fake Trump pee tape …
Shared with the public on the latest episode of “Real Time” this Friday, the fake pee tape was part of his bit for the week that congressional Democrats should start fighting dirty by literally making stuff up about the president.
Of course, they’ve already been doing exactly that …
Watch the fake pee tape below:

The premise of his bit was based on the belief that Republicans intend to cheat in the upcoming 2020 election by creating fake digital videos. It’s not clear if Maher really believes this or whether this belief was also a part of the joke.
“This 2020 election is destined to be the dirtiest rat-f—ingus ever, especially when Republicans start using footage like this,” he said.
He then played a “deep fake” video of former President Barack Hussein Obama calling the current president “a total and complete dips–t.” FYI, the digitally manipulated video he shared was actually created by left-wing comedian Jordan Peele …
“He never said it,” Maher continued. “That’s what’s called a ‘deep fake’ — Obama’s face and voice manipulated digitally to make it look like he’s speaking words that in reality never came out of his mouth. It’s the future of sleazy American political advertising, so let’s get in on it now, and I know just what our first ‘deep fake’ video should be: the pee tape.”
He then played a fake clip depicting the debunked allegations that Trump once hired two Russian hookers to urinate on a Russian hotel bed on which former President Barack Hussein Obama and first lady Michelle Obama had once slept.
While there’s no real reason to take offense, as it was just a joke (though perhaps not necessarily a clever one), what’s odd is that as of Saturday morning, no outrage from the demonstrably left-wing mainstream media had emerged.
Why would they be outraged? Because they’ve displayed an emphatic distaste for fake videos, memes, you name it, in the past.
When the president’s official campaign account tweeted a meme last month that featured his face superimposed on the body of the Marvel Comics supervillain Thanos, CNN’s Don Lemon experienced a total and complete meltdown in real time.
“What are we, in junior high school?” he bemoaned. “Like, what the hell? What is this? Like, what? What? I cannot believe that I’m even having to report this on the news.”
“This is, this is crazy. This is literally crazy. Are you people insane? Are you insane?” he asked. “Go ahead. Troll the Democrats on Twitter. Do this stupid, silly you-know-what. Play this stupid, juvenile meme game.”

“History won’t record this meme stupid crap, but history will record this,” he added. “The seriousness of what is happening, that today is the day that the House of Representatives in the United States of America introduced articles of impeachment against President Donald J. Trump, the president of the United States of America, for committing high crimes and misdemeanors. A big deal.”
And incidentally, next Wednesday will be the day that President Donald J. Trump, the president of the United States of America, will be acquitted on these charges …
Here’s an even better example: When a random Twitter user later identified as a young black conservative posted a doctored video showing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi speaking in a manner that suggested she was drunk, The Daily Beast doxxed him.
And then it smeared him:
NEW: I went looking for the Russian troll behind the ‘Drunk Pelosi’ viral video hoax. Turns out he’s an itinerant forklift operator from the Bronx who’s been secretly running hard-right “news” outlets across social media for years. Also, not Russian. https://t.co/mChiyVqy0B

During Maher’s broadcast Friday, he shared a similar video that took clips of Trump out of context to portray him as a “neurological mess.”
“Trump is a neurological mess, but the Democrats are too scared to make an issue of it when actually it would cut together really well as a campaign ad,” he said.
He then played the clip below:

It’s unclear whether the media will spend the same amount of time analyzing and criticizing Maher’s “disinformation” as they’ve spent doing the same to every joke, meme or fake video that conservatives, including the president, have created.
As for conservatives, it may behoove them to just shrug off Maher’s “deep fakes” or, better yet, laugh at them, for there’s no reason to join the left in their perpetual outrage and grievance. Granted, a joke about the president of the United States is no way equivalent to a joke about the millions of working-class Americans who voted him into office.
