CNN’s Don Lemon — a race-baiting political operative masquerading as a journalist — defended himself after a panel on his show smeared all Trump supporters as dumb, illiterate white hicks.
A smirking Lemon claimed that he was cackling hysterically at a “joke” by Never-Trumper panelist Rick Wilson, and was not ridiculing the 63 million Americans who voted for President Trump.
Lemon said: “This is personally important for me to address. I don’t believe in belittling people, belittling anyone for who they are, what they believe, or where they’re from. During an interview on Saturday night, one of my guests said something that made me laugh. And while in the moment, I found that joke humorous.”
Lemon added: “Just to make this perfectly clear, I was laughing at the joke and not at any group of people.”
Notably, Lemon did not apologize for his panel that smeared all Trump supporters as illiterate Southern hillbillies.
In addition to fomenting anti-white racism with that stereotype, the “joke” that Don found so hilarious also marginalizes the millions of minorities who support Trump.
Lemon was likely pressured to address the issue amid widespread backlash for his panelists’ bigoted, snobby mischaracterizations of millions of Americans.
“The Five” co-host Greg Gutfeld said he’s not surprised that CNN’s leftist hosts think they’re better than the millions of Americans who live in the Midwest and South.
“They really do look down their noses on at least half of America,” Gutfeld remarked. “It’s no wonder their ratings are in the tank. CNN is in trouble. They need help. No wonder they’re watching us all the time, watching Fox to figure out what we’re doing right.”
The irony is that more people live in the South and the Midwest than the Northeast and West, according to the U.S. Census. So CNN is ridiculing 59% of the US population (roughly 194 MILLION AMERICANS). Let that sink in.
- South: 125.6 million people (38.3% of US population)
- Midwest: 68.3 million (20.8%)
- West: 78.3 million (23.9%)
- Northeast: 55.9 million (17.1%).
Gutfeld slammed RINO strategist Rick Wilson, saying there’s “something wrong with him.” But he said Lemon escalated an offhanded joke with his over-the-top reaction to it.
“Rick Wilson — there is definitely something wrong with him. I don’t know what it is,” Gutfeld said. “The joke wasn’t that bad. It was Don Lemon’s overdoing it with his hyper-dramatic, ‘Oh my God! This is the best thing ever!’ [reaction]. The overreaction was so silly and sad.”

Co-host Dana Perino, a frequent Trump critic, remarked: “Using a Southern accent to mimic somebody who is apparently dumb and doesn’t read is really offensive.”
Perino continued: “People come from different regions of the country. You have accents from people all over the world. It has nothing to do with your intelligence, it has to do with where you were raised. That, I think, is offensive.
Jesse Watters chimed in: “The two guys on the right and the left, they’re hired guns. They’re not going to pay a price. There’s no parent company [to complain to about them]. Don Lemon is the guy in trouble. Because he’s supposed to be this straight-news guy. And CNN’s already in trouble with bad ratings and Lemon’s got [sex-assault] legal problems.”
Watters said CNN once again is energizing Trump’s base and undecided voters by deriding anyone who doesn’t live in New York City, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. as uneducated idiots.
Jesse remarked: “They’re giving a talking point to hammer the Left, to hammer the media, in an election year where Democrats have to regain their footing with white, working-class Americans, non-college-educated people in Iowa, Florida and the Rust Belt.”
Reminder: Don Lemon said the biggest threat in the United States is white men. Meanwhile, Lemon is accused of sexually assaulting a white man.
The CNN panelist who mocked Trump supporters as dumb hicks previously trashed Hispanic business executive Steve Cortes as an Uncle Tom for supporting Trump.
As for Rick Wilson, does he actually think that people (especially minorities) can distinguish between him and the “10-tooth rubes” that he claims Trump supporters are? Has he looked in a mirror lately?
