Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky) formally invited President Trump to attend the Senate’s impeachment trial, which he dismissed as a “partisan charade.” Paul tweeted a photo of a ticket that he offered the President to be his guest.
Paul tweeted: “I heard Donald Trump would like to attend the impeachment trial. Mr. President, would love to have you as my guest during this partisan charade.”

Rand Paul was responding to President Trump’s statements from a press conference in Switzerland, where he said: “I would love to go [to the Senate impeachment trial]. Wouldn’t that be great? Wouldn’t that be beautiful? I’d sit right in the front row and stare in their corrupt faces. I’d love to do it.”
However, Trump conceded that his presence would probably not be welcome because it would disrupt the proceedings.

Before extending his Twitter invite, Paul slammed impeachment manager Adam Schiff, saying the Democrat is unifying the GOP with his unhinged rhetoric promoting the unconstitutional impeachment.
Paul tweeted: “The more we hear from Adam Schiff, the more the GOP is getting unified against this partisan charade!”

As BizPac Review reported, desperate Democrats are considering an impeachment-witness swap: Hunter Biden in exchange for John Bolton. However, it’s unlikely that Democrats will allow that, since the Party is trying to protect its presidential frontrunner, Joe Biden, from public scrutiny of his scandals.
Fox News political analyst Brit Hume — a 23-year veteran of ABC News who has covered politics for almost five decades — says the Democrats’ slipshod impeachment ultimately won’t hurt Trump. In fact, Hume predicts that the Democrats’ sloppy, drive-by impeachment will be forgotten soon.
“Of all the impeachments that we have had, this one will have the shortest half-life,” Hume said in December 2019. “Nancy Pelosi may have sensed this all along. And that’s why she was in such a hurry.”
Hume said that Pelosi — who vehemently opposed impeachment a few months ago — was pressured into a rushed impeachment by the loud radical-left faction in her party.

The impeachment vote in the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives came down along party lines. In fact, Democrats had two defectors who voted against the “abuse of power” article and three Democrats who voted against “obstruction of Congress.”
In contrast, all Republicans voted lock-step against impeachment. Keep in mind that Democrats had promised a bipartisan vote in favor of impeachment; that didn’t happen. In fact, the only bipartisan vote was AGAINST impeachment.
Brit Hume — who covered the impeachments of Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton — is shocked at how apathetic most Americans are toward this impeachment. Why? Because Democrats overpromised and underdelivered.
Hume explained that the “crimes” the Democrats accused President Trump of were not even impeachable offenses.
“We’re talking about the temporary withholding of aid [to Ukraine] that was ultimately provided in exchange for an investigation that wasn’t conducted. And while it was improper for the president to raise Joe Biden’s name in that now-famous conversation, it really didn’t go anywhere.”
Moreover, Hume pointed out that President Trump has provided more military and financial aid to Ukraine than Barack Obama ever did.
“We were hearing about how our national security was compromised. Really? How exactly? This administration’s policy toward Ukraine was stronger than the previous administration’s. Which leaves you to wonder, how exactly was our ‘national security compromised’?”
Hume said that while Trump is not thrilled with the impeachment, it won’t damage him because his supporters will rally around him even more fiercely and he’ll get easily reelected.
While the Democrats are rabidly chewing their cud over the bogus impeachment, here’s what President Trump is up to: Addressing 100,000-plus pro-life activists at the 2020 March for Life rally.
