Texas Governor Greg Abbott shared video of a “candid moment” with President Donald Trump.
The Republican governor was greeted by the president while the two were in Davos, Switzerland this week and Abbott’s encounter with Trump as he was leaving the World Economic Forum was caught on video.

The president stopped to greet Abbott on his way out and repeatedly asked him if he was okay.
“Are you okay? You want to come up with us?” Trump asked as he shook Abbott’s hand then leaned in to give him a hug and a pat on the back.
“I’ll give you a ride back,” the president added as he turned to those gathered, saying, “The great Governor of Texas, everybody! There’s nobody like him!”
Trump turned to the governor and again asked, “Are you okay?”
“I’m doing fabulous, thank you. And you’re doing great, too,” Abbott replied, politely declining Trump’s offer for a ride back to the U.S.
“We would love to,” he said, “But I’m here for a few more days. We got more deals to do.”
“All the deals that we didn’t get!” Trump laughed, shaking Abbott’s hand again. “Have a good time. Congratulations.”
Abbott discussed the success of the Texas economy while in Davos, citing “our focus is on free markets & innovation” in a tweet he shared.

He also touted others he had met with while at the forum, including Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump.

Great visits today with Tim Cook of Apple, Steve Demetriou the CEO of Jacobs Engineering, and Onur Genç the CEO of BBVA.
They all have substantial operations in Texas, with Jacobs having its HQ in Dallas.

Abbott applauded Trump for what he thought could be his “best speech ever” while in Davos.

Today, I’m proud to declare the United States is in the midst of an economic boom, the likes of which the world has never seen before,” Trump told other world leaders at the Alpine summit. “America is thriving. America is flourishing, and yes, America is winning again like never before.”
And Trump received plenty of praise on Twitter, as well, for being so great to the Texas governor.
