A new poll painted a telling picture of the impact of Donald Trump’s presidency.
Looking past the imminent 2020 presidential election as Trump moves to secure a second term, Republican voters were asked who would get their support in the 2024 presidential race and the answers were interesting, to say the least.

Vice President Mike Pence topped the 2024 list of “Republicans would you consider voting for” in a December SurveyMonkey poll for Axios. But he was followed by two of Trump’s children, Don Jr. and Ivanka, as favored picks for 2024.
The poll, conducted Dec 14 through 17, 2019, showed that the Trump children held a higher position of favor among Republican voters than some of the president’s supporters who have actually held a political office.
While 40 percent of Republicans surveyed this early on said they would vote for Pence, 29 percent – nearly three in 10 respondents, indicated they would cast a vote for Trump Jr.
The 42-year-old, who is the eldest child of the president and his first wife Ivana, is a fiery advocate for his father. Frequently making television appearances defending the president or elaborating on issues, Trump Jr. has become a favorite warm-up act to his father at his lively rallies as well.
Crowds have been known to chant “2024!” as Trump Jr. has spoken and his Twitter account, which boasts a social media following of over 4.2 million people, offers scathing rebukes of his father’s detractors and biting commentary on the issues.
Trump Jr.’s book, “Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us,” topped the N.Y. Times nonfiction bestseller list after its November release. The newspaper even complained about the book’s status a few weeks after its release, claiming there was much “debate over how and why it had claimed the No. 1 spot.”

Trump Jr.’s sister, Ivanka, qualified for a position on the top five on the SurveyMonkey poll, coming in fourth behind former U.N. Ambassador, Nikki Haley.
With a title of “Advisor to the President,” the president’s eldest daughter has been involved on many fronts within the administration, as a businesswoman in her own right who had a fashion line and served for a time as executive vice president of the Trump Organization.
Ivanka’s role in championing workforce development, skills training and paid family leave have clearly made an impression on 16 percent of likely 2024 voters who were surveyed in the poll. Solidly behind her father’s Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative, Ivanka has advocated for empowering women and has also represented the president overseas.
The SurveyMonkey poll was conducted online among a national sample of 1,854 adults who were “selected from the more than 2 million people who take surveys on the SurveyMonkey platform each day.”
