Rep. Adam Schiff was probably not expecting to be given a Miranda warning on his way to get a bite on Capitol Hill.
The California Democrat and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee was headed to the cafeteria when he was confronted by America’s Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam.

The conservative blogger and host of “Frontline America” posted a video Wednesday of his encounter with Schiff, who was on his way to the cafeteria.
“When this fails…what are the Democrats going to do next?” Bergquam asked, walking along with the congressman.
Schiff dismissed the question, telling Bergquam he didn’t have time for his interview.
“But thank you anyway,” he said as he walked off to the counter to order.
Undaunted, Bergquam continued, asking, “When you’re brought up for treason, what will your response be then?”
“You’re going to hear these words later, but you might as well hear them now,” he continued as he loudly began to give Schiff his Miranda Rights. The lawmaker tuned him out as he placed his order at the counter, and his security and aides kept Bergquam at a safe distance.
“The Democrats are committing treason,” Bergquam said to the camera. “This is the shame, he doesn’t have time for my questions. But right now what we have going on in our country is an attack on our sovereignty and it’s time that all Americans stand up against it.”
Last week, the conservative blogger boldly confronted Rep. Jerry Nadler about committing treason by supporting the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump.

“Shame on you. You’ve broken your oath,” Bergquam said to the House Judiciary chairman as he waited for an elevator in the Longworth House Office Building last week following an impeachment debate.
“But you know what? Keep doing it. Keep doing it because the American people see through it. It’s going to work in President Trump’s favor. Keep it up,” Bergquam continued as other protesters joined in.
He posted that video along with the caption, “Keep it up Democrats, you’re only making America appreciate President Trump more!”

“From the moment President Trump took office, and even before, members within our government including Nadler have been working to overthrow him,” Bergquam said in a statement to Newsweek. “That is the definition of treason…they have spent the last three years trying to undo the votes of 63 million Americans.”
