Rep. Louie Gohmert unloaded on House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler in a fiery clash on the House floor.
The Texas Republican and member of the Judiciary panel had just finished speaking in the House debate over impeachment charges against President Trump when Nadler accused him of spouting “Russian propaganda.”

Gohmert blasted Democrats during his time on the House floor Wednesday, accusing them of pushing impeachment in order to “stop the investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice and Ukraine into the corruption of Ukraine interference into the U.S. election in 2016.”
The lawmaker called the process a “travesty” and warned that impeachment would “be used for political battles and this country’s end is now in sight.”
“I hope I don’t live to see it. This is an outrage,” he concluded as he walked away from the dais.
Nadler immediately fired back at the GOP congressman.
“I am deeply concerned that any member of the House would spout Russian propaganda on the floor of the House,” the New York Democrat said.
Tense moments on the House floor just now.
After Rep. Louie Gohmert said Ukraine interfered in the 2016 election, Rep. Jerry Nadler said he was dismayed that a lawmaker would “spout Russian propaganda.”
Gohmert re-approached and dais and yelled at Nadler to take down his words.

But even as the next lawmaker began to speak, Gohmert stormed back to the microphone to let the Judiciary Committee chairman have it. But he could not be heard clearly as the microphone was off but he appeared to be demanding Nadler take down his comment.
Rep. Diana DeGette of Colorado banged the gavel calling for the House to “come to order.”
Oh man. Gohmert just walked over to Nadler and appeared to chastise him again as Nadler sat in his chair. From my vantage point, tt didn’t look like Nadler was saying anything in response.

The heated moment came as lawmakers debated ahead of the evening vote to impeach Trump which came late Wednesday with final tallies of 230 to 197 to impeach the president for abuse of power and 229 to 198 votes for obstruction of Congress.
“Today we are here to defend democracy for the people,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told lawmakers ahead of debate. “I solemnly and sadly open the debate on the impeachment of the president of the United States.”
“This is not a solemn occasion,” Georgia GOP Rep. Doug Collins fired back during his time. “You’ve been wanting to do this ever since the gentlemen was elected.”
In fact, the California Democrat raised her hand and quickly shot a serious look over at cheering lawmakers as she dropped the gavel later, reading the tally of votes on the first article of impeachment, charging President Trump with abuse of power.
Her disapproving look shut down their momentary celebration as they had reportedly been directed to quash appearances that would contradict their claims of being “prayerful” and “solemn” over the impeachment of the president.
