An MSNBC panel ripped Fox News host Tucker Carlson as a “blowhard” over recent comments he made about Russia.
Nicolle Wallace discussed the remarks with a “Deadline: White House” panel on Tuesday, slamming the host of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” for “saying he’s with Russia.”

“I know there’s a big difference between Republicans in office and their echo chamber on TV, but Tucker Carlson is at it again, saying he’s with Russia,” Wallace said.
“What happened to Tucker Carlson?” former U.S. ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul asked. “Where did he go wrong?”
In a monologue on Monday’s show, Carlson had called out journalists who are obsessed with Russia, noting that even Russian President Vladimir Putin “does not hate America” as much as some in the media do.
Targeting NBC News’ Chuck Todd as an example for his heated interview on Russia and Ukraine with Sen. John Kennedy, Carlson slammed MSNBC for “still pretending that Russia collusion is the most important story there is.”

“Somehow Tucker Carlson forgot that Russia annexed territory in Ukraine,” McFaul told Wallace Tuesday. “This amnesia about our history is scary.”
Donny Deutsch seemed frustrated by the discussion and jumped in.
“Why do we even dignify Tucker Carlson? He’s a blowhard, he’s a putz,” he said. “Who the hell is Tucker Carlson?”
“I think because around the world you see someone that in this country has a lot of viewers, saying, not even tip-toeing around it. Saying I’m with Russia against Ukraine,” Wallace responded.
Deutsch dismissed the millions of viewers Carlson has, saying, “Let’s not forget: he’s a blowhard, he’s ignorant, and he’s a putz.”
Carlson doubled down on his criticism of Todd and his interview with Kennedy during his show Tuesday, noting how the Louisiana Republican “made an argument that Todd didn’t like.”

“Todd didn’t rebut the argument. Not capable of that. So instead he did what so many do now, he accused Senator Kennedy of being an agent of Russia,” Carlson said.
“So in a normal time, we would all recognize that for what it was. An embarrassing and low moment,” he continued.
“Accusing people without evidence under the cover of journalism of acting on behalf of a foreign government? There is a name for that, actually, it’s called McCarthyism,” the Fox News host explained. “We went through a period where that happened. We learned nothing apparently, or the left didn’t. That’s literally what it is. McCarthyism. After calling people racist. It’s the press’ new favorite baseless allegation to throw around.”
He noted an example with a video clip of Wallace saying that Kennedy was “peddling Vladimir Putin’s talking points.” Political commentator Charlie Sykes was also seen on video saying Kennedy “comes off as an addled Russian asset on television.”
Carlson contended that the media’s Russia fixation has “escalated” under President Trump to the point that “formerly mainstream journalists are just looking right in the camera and saying, ‘yeah, I don’t agree with him. He must be a traitor to the country.'”
