White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is willing to show up to the upcoming House Judiciary Committee impeachment hearing “on behalf of the White House” if Rep. Adam Schiff will be testifying.
Conway, whose husband took a public and direct shot at her on Twitter Monday, told reporters at the White House that the House Intelligence Committee chairman is a “fact witness” in the impeachment inquiry and it would be “great” if he is called to testify.
“Our White House counsel has made very clear, dating back to October 8, that this is an unconstitutional and illegitimate process, and we stand by that. We haven’t seen anything to change that,” she said, speaking to reporters Monday.
“In fact, we’ve seen the Independents pulling away from the Democratic point of view on impeaching the president. We’ve seen these 31 Democrats in Trump-Pence districts getting earfuls when they go home from a lot of people saying, ‘Why aren’t you working for us?’ And 21 of them are freshmen. It is very tough to get re-elected after your freshman year, particularly when you’re in a district like that where you’re going to have the president at the top of the ticket,” Conway said.
“So, they have to be more definitive about what they are doing. And they are not definitive. First, it is in the Judiciary Committee, then it goes over to Intel, now it is back to Judiciary,” the counselor to the president continued.
“Is Adam Schiff going to testify? Because he’s a fact witness. That would be great,” Conway added. “I’ll tell you what, if Adam Schiff testifies, I’ll show up on behalf of the White House.”
Conway called out the lack of details forthcoming from the House Judiciary Committee which has not yet given the White House the names of the witnesses set to appear.
White House Counsel Pat Cipollone responded to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler’s deadline for the administration to respond about participating in the upcoming hearings. The letter stated that the White House would not take part in the “baseless and highly partisan” impeachment hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

“What is the process? What will they be discussing? They have constitutional law experts coming in. How is that beneficial?” Conway said to reporters Monday. “I don’t even understand what they’re doing.”
Conway’s defense of Trump stands in stark contrast to her husband’s vocal and persistent criticisms of her boss, which spilled out into the public arena of social media on Monday. George Conway fired a direct shot at his wife after she mocked 2020 presidential contender Joe Biden on Twitter.
“Sleepy Joe is Creepy Joe” the White House counselor tweeted, with a 2017 video clip of the former vice president recounting his younger lifeguard days at a Delaware pool and his leg hair.
“We need Ukraine’s help to defeat THIS guy?” Conway asked.

Trump called out his former campaign manager’s husband last month as “a total whack job.”

“Kellyanne is great, but she’s married to a total whack job,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” in November, reacting to another in Conway’s many attacks.
Twitter users slammed Conway for being “insecure” and for the “emotional abuse” he puts his wife through.
George is an abuser and it shows. This is emotional abuse. Beyond sad! They have 4 children and this guy is the epitome of running their mother… his wife down now in a public forum.

Dude should be thankful he got a wife so out of his league. Instead he is constantly insecure and jealous of the lack of attention. His ego is more important than his kids.

How shitty does your marriage have to be to publicly dunk on & disrespect your wife? This is pathetic.

Imagine how the media would treat George Conway if the parties were reversed and Kellyanne Conway was the successful female campaign manager for a Democrat President and her husband, George, spent all day undermining her on twitter https://t.co/rs83i0YwiU
