President Donald Trump praised White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, saying “she’s great” but lamented that her unemployed husband, George Conway, is “a total whack job.”
“Kellyanne is great, but she’s married to a total whack job,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” on Nov. 22.
The president suggested that George is acting like a lunatic and undermining his wife because he’s exacting revenge on her for something.
“I think she must have done some number on him,” Trump said. “I don’t know what Kellyanne did to that guy. He’s got to be some kind of a nut job. She must have done some bad things to him because that guy is crazy.”
George is a virulent Trump critic who’s clout-chasing for Twitter retweets and tabloid headlines by constantly trashing Trump.

President Trump was reacting to George Conway’s speculation that former U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley wants to be on the Trump 2020 ticket.
Haley — a former Never-Trumper — boldly predicted that Trump will not be impeached or removed from office because he did nothing that warrants such a political “death penalty.”

George Conway claims that Haley made these statements because she wants to replace Mike Pence as Trump’s vice president.
Trump said that’s baloney, and insisted that Vice President Mike Pence will remain on his ticket.
“She endorsed me with the most beautiful endorsement you’ve ever heard,” Trump said. “She did a great job at the UN. She’s now in the private sector. I assume she’s doing very well. But, Nikki will be back [in politics] in some form because she’s great. She’s my friend.”
Last week, Donald Trump Jr. also blasted George Conway for constantly undermining and embarrassing his wife.
Don Jr. tweeted: “A guy who routinely and publicly embarrasses his wife by attacking her boss for the purpose of getting retweets and building his own brand is giving lectures on honor, integrity & decency. ? I’m sure your family really appreciates it, George. You’re a disgrace.”

Kellyanne and George Conway have been married since 2001 and have four children together, so she has not criticized him publicly.
However, George’s repeated attacks against Kellyanne’s boss is undoubtedly a source of embarrassment for her since his scathing trash-talk undermines her.
George doesn’t care that publicly undercutting his wife sets a poor example for his three daughters as they’ll likely think it’s OK for a man to trivialize his wife’s job on national TV.
The left-wing media loves to throw George’s anti-Trump comments in Kellyanne’s face during interviews to embarrass her.
In December 2018, Eric Trump defended Kellyanne, saying she deserves better than her jealous, meathead husband.
Eric slammed “the utter disrespect George Conway shows toward his wife, her career, place of work, and everything she has fought SO hard to achieve. Kellyanne Conway is great person and frankly, his actions are horrible.”
George has admitted that his relentless public attacks on President Trump annoy Kellyanne — but he doesn’t care. “I don’t think she likes it,” George has said. “But I don’t like the administration, so it’s even.”
Many people are baffled about why Kellyanne married dumpy, grumpy George in the first place.
