Leftist film director Michael Moore — a vocal Trump-hater — was attacked on Twitter for comparing Joe Biden’s lackluster campaign to the dumpster fire that two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton ran in 2016.
“Joe Biden is this year’s Hillary,” Moore said on MSNBC. “Joe Biden is not going to excite the base to get out there and vote on November 3, 2020. Seventy percent of the people voting next year are either women, people of color, or young people between the ages of 18 and 35. That’s 70%.”
Moore said he’s skeptical that Biden can energize Democratic voters to get off their couches and vote the way Barack Obama motivated millions of black voters and young people to go to the polls.
“Who is going to excite that 18-to-35-year-old person?” Moore asked. “Who is going to excite women and African-Americans and Hispanic people? [Not Joe Biden]”

Moore also criticized Biden for not defending his corrupt dealings with Ukraine, when he threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees if Ukraine didn’t fire its top prosecutor, who was investigating Burisma Holdings.
At the time, Joe’s son Hunter Biden was on Burisma’s board of directors. Under pressure from then-Vice President Biden, that prosecutor (Viktor Shokin) was fired.
Moore said: “It looks like Biden’s not really wanting to deal with it. It appears that he’s afraid to be out there, that there’s some piece of this that he doesn’t want to deal with in terms of his son and the gas company and all that.”
In response, leftists on Twitter slammed Moore, accusing him of “bashing” Biden simply for suggesting that Biden defend himself.
One person quipped: “Can you please spare me Michael Moore bashing Biden and claiming he won’t “excite” the base? We are not doing 2016 again.”

Another Twitter user called Moore “arrogant, obnoxious and unhelpful.”

Other “tolerant liberals” fat-shamed Moore simply for suggesting that Biden do something to rescue his own campaign.
One leftist wrote: “When something happens with Trump, MSNBC goes to harpoon that walrus Michael Moore to put him in front of the cameras…Michael Moore is a Trump defender.”
Another liberal groused: “MSNBC is obsessed with the self-righteous babbling of Michael Moore.”

Moore is a virulent anti-Trumper, but he’s also shrewd enough to be honest when the Left screws up. This is something the left-wing media doesn’t do, which is why Democrats were totally shell-shocked when Donald Trump won in 2016.
As conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh observed, “Their media is not telling them about blowback [against impeachment]. Their media isn’t reporting what people that disagree with them are saying or doing. They’re ignorant of it.”
In July, Moore made headlines after expressing his disgust with Robert Mueller’s disastrous Congressional hearings. At the time, Moore admitted that the debacle was an epic failure for Democrats.
Moore tweeted: “A frail old man, unable to remember things, stumbling, refusing to answer basic questions…I said it in 2017 and Mueller confirmed it today — All you pundits and moderates and lame Dems who told the public to put their faith in the esteemed Robert Mueller — just STFU from now on.”
You can say a lot of things about Moore, but at least he admits when “his side” is screwing up. The left’s wholesale denial of reality is probably why President Trump will cruise to a 2020 landslide.
