Tucker defends fmr colleague Megyn Kelly after latest blackface scandal

Tucker Carlson is extremely irritated with the egregious double standard surrounding revelations that Canada’s uber-liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau liked to dress up in blackface.

Trudeau was outed, not once, but three times for dressing up in black or brown makeup. The act, no matter how long ago, or how young and ignorant the perpetrator may have been when they did it, is an unforgivable sin – unless you’re a Democrat.

This scenario could not be played out more concisely than with the pass Trudeau seems to be getting from the radical left. Carlson used his former colleague Megyn Kelly’s experience with ‘blackface” to drill the point home – after all, Kelly didn’t even wear it and she widely condemned!

While discussing “appropriate” Halloween costumes, Kelly had said that she didn’t think someone wearing black or white makeup to dress up like a certain character was necessarily racist, especially if it happened years ago. Kelly’s show was eventually canceled and she quickly parted ways with NBC execs after several mishaps and immense backlash.

Off with her head, screamed the liberal media. CNN’s Don Lemon piled on at the time, condemning Kelly’s unforgivable indiscretion.  But, when it comes to Trudeau… Lemon’s letting it slide because he said, “sorry.”

Carlson reamed Lemon and the rest of the hypocrites on Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight on Thursday.

“The virtue is always the cover for the sin,” Carlson said. “Whatever they’re accusing YOU of doing, they’re doing themselves.”

Tucker said there’s no better example of this than self-proclaimed “feminist” and “self-riotous” lecturer Justin Trudeau.

The Fox host blasted Trudeau for trying to place the blame for his actions on “privilege.”

Tucker warned the audience not to be fooled into thinking Trudeau is taking responsibility by acknowledging “white privilege.” It’s quite the opposite.

“When Trudeau blames privilege, he’s moving responsibility from himself to the rest of us,” Carlson continued.

Carlson then skewered Don Lemon for his obvious selective outrage and played a clip of the CNN host in awe over Trudeau’s apology.

“What a difference a year makes,” Carlson responded to the clip.

“If you can remember back, all the way back, to when Megyn Kelly of NBC found herself under attack in pretty much the same way. The difference was that Megyn Kelly never wore blackface,” Carlson said.

“She wouldn’t do that. She’s not Justin Trudeau. She just made the mistake of not seeming quite offended enough in a TV segment by certain Halloween costumes. For that crime, Don Lemon told us she must be destroyed,” he continued.

Carlson then played the damning clip of Lemon blasting Kelly with a whole different set of standards.

“Suddenly, Don Lemon went from that, ‘I wonder how much diversity she has on her staff,’ to ‘I’m so glad that Justin is sorry.’ Did Don Lemon have a change of heart? Is he now a forgiving man? Or could it be that because Justin Trudeau is a powerful leader on the left, he gets a pass no matter what he does?”

The rank hypocrisy is becoming so obvious, even liberal Piers Morgan is calling it out.
