President Trump is under fire after revealing that he had planned to hold a secret meeting with Afghanistan’s Taliban leaders at Camp David today (Sept. 8).
However, Trump said he canceled the meeting at the last minute after learning the Taliban was behind a recent terrorist attack in Kabul that killed an American soldier and 11 other people.
On Sept. 5, a suicide car bombing killed Sgt. 1st Class Elis Angel Barreto Ortiz of Puerto Rico, a Romanian soldier, and 10 civilians near the American embassy in Kabul.
The bombing was one of several recent terrorist attacks committed by the Taliban during U.S.-Taliban peace talks, the AP reported.
The president admitted on Twitter that this disturbing news forced him to cancel his meeting.
“Unbeknownst to almost everyone, the major Taliban leaders and, separately, the President of Afghanistan, were going to secretly meet with me at Camp David on Sunday. They were coming to the United States tonight,” Trump tweeted.
“Unfortunately, in order to build false leverage, they admitted to an attack in Kabul that killed one of our great, great soldiers, and 11 other people,” he continued. “I immediately cancelled the meeting and called off peace negotiations. What kind of people would kill so many in order to seemingly strengthen their bargaining position? They didn’t, they only made it worse!”

Trump also expressed disgust at the radical Islamic terrorists, asking, “How many more decades are they willing to fight?”

The Taliban has said that it carried out the attacks to gain leverage in its negotiations with the United States and to send a warning to foreign “invaders.”
As BizPac Review reported, President Trump wants to withdraw thousands of American soldiers from Afghanistan.
The United States has spent $975 billion dollars and lost more than 7,000 U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan during an ugly 20-year war.
And what has it done for us? The Middle East is still a festering petri dish for radical Islamic terrorism and an overall a sh**hole beyond Western redemption.
Naturally, leftists blasted Trump on Twitter, calling him unpatriotic for wanting to negotiate with the Taliban in the first place.

Naturally, these Trump-hating hypocrites gave Barack Obama a pass when he negotiated with Iran — the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world.
In that secret lopsided “negotiation,” Obama lifted economic sanctions that had crippled Iran financially for decades, unfroze $150 billion in assets, and gave the country $400 million in cash.

Predictably, Iran used the cash from the Iran Nuclear Deal signed under Obama to increase its defense budget 145% and build up its weapons stockpile.
So basically, the U.S. gave Iran fistfuls of cash to build a massive army to annihilate us.
In April 2017, Iranian military leaders bragged to local newspapers that the Islamic Republic’s army was being fortified into an “offensive juggernaut.” Thanks Obama!
One America News Network host Jack Posobiec underscored the left’s hypocritical pettiness by noting that “Trump was secretly negotiating a ceasefire with the Taliban to end the war in Afghanistan while the media spent the entire week melting down over a sharpie.”
God forbid that an American president actually try to broker peace — against the wishes of leftist war-mongers.
