Horrifying footage appears to show young male beat female officer, steal her gun and shoot

Stunning video footage recorded Wednesday in California’s San Bernardino County shows the moment that a 21-year-old hooligan tried to murder a female deputy in cold blood.

Uploaded that afternoon by a local who had witnessed the incident, the video shows a young man pummeling the deputy with his fists until she falls to the ground. A gunshot then rings out as the deputy reportedly fires a shot at the hooligan.

While it’s hard to see what happens next, the thug appears to seize the gun from the deputy. She then jumps to her feet and tries to flee as the hooligan aims the weapon toward her and fires. He reportedly missed. Three police cruisers then pull up.

“One of the arriving deputies is heard yelling, ‘drop the gun,’ before several more shots are fired,” local station KCBS reported. “News footage showed the suspect being placed into an ambulance. He was then airlifted to a local hospital in undisclosed condition.”

According to station KTLA, the incident began around 8:30 am that morning when the suspect’s mother dialed local authorities to demand her unruly son be removed from the home.

“She was very upset. She was asking for help, saying she needed her son removed from her home,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department official Jodi Miller confirmed to the station.

When local officer Meagan Forsberg arrived at the scene, she found 21-year-old Ari Young outside and reportedly tried to cuff him, but he became “combative.”

“It was a violent attack,” Miller added. “The suspect struck her multiple times in the head, in the head, knocking her down to the ground.”

The good news is that neither Young, who was shot, nor Forsberg, who just managed to avoid being hit by a bullet from her own gun, suffered life-threatening injuries.

The report concluded with reporter Rick Chambers revealing that Young’s a loner.

“We’re also hearing the suspect’s a bit of a loner, walks the neighborhood but doesn’t talk much to anybody else,” he said. “We’re also hearing that police have responded to this same home before.”

Chambers also confirmed that Young has “some emotional problems.”

Not much else was known about the incident as of noon Thursday, though social media users had already begun to speculate over what might have been the true reason for Wednesday’s events.

There appeared to be widespread agreement that poor parenting, a lack of purpose, a rotting culture and a general lack of discipline were to blame for the young man’s behavior.

Surprisingly, nobody seemed to mention the elephant in the room: MENTAL ILLNESS. It’s an issue — a growing one — that President Donald Trump has repeatedly brought attention to.

“[W]e must reform our mental health laws to better identify mentally disturbed individuals who may commit acts of violence and make sure those people not only get treatment, but, when necessary, involuntary confinement. Mental illness and hatred pulls the trigger, not the gun,” he said in a statement last month following the Dayton and El Paso shootings.

Yet the president and his supporters were mocked for this sentiment on the basis that an alleged lack of stringent gun laws were to blame for the shootings. But there’s no law that would have prevented Young from stealing Forsberg’s firearm and using it against her. What may have prevented the whole situation from even occurring, on the other hand, is proper mental healthcare.

Not to mention more appreciation and promotion of personal responsibility, which is severely lacking in America these days. Consider for instance how some left-wingers chose to respond to Wednesday’s events: By castigating local police for shooting Young …
