Missouri resident Julie Belew praised the Good Samaritan former firefighter who stepped in to apprehend Dmitriy Nickolayvich Andreychenko, the suspect in the botched Missouri Walmart shooting.

Belew said the former fireman — who chose to remain anonymous — probably prevented the murder of countless people. The armed ex-firefighter confronted Andreychenko when he saw the suspect enter the Walmart store in body armor with a gun.

Belew said she froze in terror when she saw Andreychenko near the Walmart yesterday.

“My gaze followed the direction of his gun and I saw across from me a young man with his hands up,” Belew recounted. “Then the man to my left [the former firefighter] said, ‘Why are you walking around Walmart wearing tactical jacket, holding an assault rifle?’ Then I just kind of froze.”

Belew was grateful that the former fireman stood next to her car in the parking lot as the suspect was arrested by police.

“I was comforted knowing that there were people around me just ready to disarm him and do what needed to be done,” Belew told Fox News. “He made me feel like he was protecting me because he kind of stood right next to my car. I was really nervous. I didn’t understand what was going on. I didn’t realize he was not a police officer.”

Andreychenko was charged with making a terroristic threat for walking into a Walmart store in Springfield, Missouri yesterday in body armor, with loaded rifles and over 100 rounds of ammo.

The former firefighter — another example of a “good guy with a gun who stopped a bad guy with a gun” — has been hailed a hero.

Meanwhile, a gun rights group warned President Trump not to pass overly restrictive gun-control laws in the wake of the El Paso and Ohio shootings.

The Gun Owners of America (GOA) has more than 2 million members nationwide. The Second-Amendment advocacy group urged Trump to reject calls for more gun control following the twin weekend shootings.

Second-Amendment advocates point out that multiple shootings occur every weekend in the Democratic-led city of Chicago — which has the toughest gun-control laws in the United States.

Reminder: An El Paso shooting survivor told CNN opinion host Chris Cuomo that he wishes his “gun-toting” mother had brought her gun with her during their trip to the El Paso Walmart.

While the Left demands more gun control, they ignore that most mass shootings take place in “gun-free” zones, and that criminals will always find a way to get their hands on a gun — no matter what laws are in place. Gun-control laws only limit the Second Amendment rights of people who obey the law in the first place.

As BizPac Review reported, there are numerous examples of armed guards preventing the murders of innocent people by armed criminals.

In 2017, a hero security guard shot a serial robber dead after he charged into an Illinois bank branch.

Security footage caught the entire incident on video (see below), where Turner barges into the bank wearing a ski mask while brandishing a gun.

Security guard Brian Harrison whipped out his gun and shot the robber dead when he saw the perp was waving a gun around.

The attempted robbery occurred while three bank employees were duty. No one was hurt during the terrifying incident.
