Conservatives defend Tucker against attacks from outrage mob: ‘For the sake of the nation, calm down’

tucker carlson twitter mob

High-profile conservatives defended Fox News host Tucker Carlson and clapped back at the Twitter rage mob demanding he be fired for pointing out the truth that the fringe white-supremacy movement in the US is a far smaller problem than rising poverty, the shrinking middle class, and the opioid epidemic that kills 130 people each day.

Seriously, ask yourself:

  • Do white supremacists cause the deaths of 130 Americans daily?
  • Do white supremacists kill the same number of people that Chicago gang violence kills every weekend?
  • How many actual “white supremacists” do you personally know?

Carlson says the left-wing media are deliberately fomenting racist division by over-hyping the fake “white supremacy crisis” to distract you from the real problems that are ravaging the country.

Tucker said: “Ever wonder why rich people seem the most hysterical on the subject? Ever notice that it’s the highest-paid people on television who are the most determined to convince you that white supremacy is America’s biggest problem? Why is that? Simple: Every minute you’re angry about race is a minute you’re not thinking about class, which of course is the real divide in this country.”

Carlson continued: “Working-class people of all colors have lot more in common — infinitely more in common with each other — than they do with some overpaid MSNBC anchor. And if you’re allowed to think about that long enough, you might start to get ‘unauthorized’ ideas about economics. And that would be disruptive to a very lucrative status quo. So they whip you into a frenzy of racial fear so that it never enters your mind. It’s a diversion.”

Tucker says the mainstream media — who think it’s their job to tell you how to think and feel — is playing the age-old “divide-and-conquer” game.

“If everyone else hates each other, they get to keep their money,” Carlson said. “Unfortunately, it’s also destroying the country. This is the path to civil war. So we want to take a second to pass on a sincere message to official Washington, and particularly to our colleagues on the other cable news channels. And it’s this:

Please, for the sake of the nation, calm down. Yes, America has problems. Yes, racism is one of America’s problems. But so is a fading middle-class. So is a terrifying drug epidemic that’s killed hundreds of thousands of Americans. So is the national debt that’s growing by a trillion dollars a year.”

Carlson noted that despite the race-baiting media narrative, not all Latino-Americans support illegal immigration. So it’s irresponsible and evil of the media to call all Trump supporters “racist white supremacists” simply for wanting to stem the illegal-immigration crisis.

“Turn out that not all Latinos believe in open borders. A lot of them don’t. Some of them agree with Donald Trump on immigration. And yet, the Left is now telling you and demanding that you believe that anyone who supports Donald Trump is a white supremacist and must be destroyed. Now they’re telling you that for political reasons. This is election season, obviously, and they want more political power.”

Tucker said that while the US is enduring a challenging time of frustration and change, the left-wing media need to stop fomenting race-baiting hysteria and trying to pit Americans against each other by convincing them that Trump supporters are the enemy who must be destroyed by any means necessary.

“It’s a hard time for America. But this country is not on the brink of genocide. It’s not even close to that. This is not a white supremacist country, plotting the slaughter of its own people. It’s a kind country, full of decent people of all races, who like all people everywhere make bad decisions from time to time. But they mean well, and they generally try their best.

So going forward, give them the benefit of the doubt. Even when you disagree with them, maybe especially when disagree with them. These are your fellow Americans. Cut them a break. They deserve it. And remember, the alternative is disaster.”

A number of prominent conservatives defended Carlson from the Twitter mob, saying he’s correct.

Unhinged leftists are blaming President Trump for the rise of white nationalism, but a black attorney and professor says the movement started mushrooming 15 years before Trump became president.

Attorney and political scientist Dr. Carol Swain underscored that “white nationalism” is different from the racist white supremacy movement, even though the left-wing media deliberately conflates the two.

“I distinguish it from white supremacy because the people who were involved [in the white nationalism movement] were more intellectual,” said Dr. Swain, a graduate of Yale Law School.

“They were not espousing racial violence or using epithets, but they had grievances. They felt that white people’s rights were being trampled on and no one was speaking up or listening to their grievances.”

Dr. Swain said the white nationalism movement took off — long before Trump took office — because whites were being marginalized and disenfranchised after decades of affirmative action and other government programs designed to benefit minorities.

Adding to the disgruntlement is the constant browbeating by academia and the media — which are over 85% liberal — calling all white people racist and claiming they have no right to complain about anything because they have “white privilege.” Look around you: There are plenty of poor, underprivileged whites.
