CNN got hilariously mocked on Twitter for its corny, over-the-top intro to the Democratic primary debates, which were held July 30 in Detroit, Michigan. Many on Twitter noted that the comical intro resembled those of professional wrestling matches or the NFL playoffs.
The intro was unintentionally funny, which means CNN failed in its efforts to present the Democratic presidential candidates as credible rivals to take down President Donald Trump.
As BizPac Review reported in June after the first Democratic primary debates, even liberals admitted that none of the candidates could beat Trump in a one-on-one debate.
And that has Democrats and their left-wing media henchmen like CNN terrified. That’s probably why CNN went to laughable extremes to package the Democratic candidates as modern-day superheroes or gladiators.
There was bipartisan consensus that the intro was an epic failure.
One Trump-hating liberal tweeted: “This CNN intro is absolutely straight out of the NFL today.”

Another quipped: “CNN’s use of sports-announcer-bro voiceover to intro the debate was like… genuinely offensive.”
Man, maybe I’m just getting precious, but CNN’s use of sports-announcer-bro voiceover to intro the debate was like… genuinely offensive.

“So disappointed in CNN’s debate intro. What a naked entertainment play, rivaling a WWE smackdown. Sorry, but this is neither journalism nor a serious effort to inform the public.”

The Democratic debate also had a lot of hilarious moments, where the candidates battled each other. One laughable segment where former Colorado governor John Hickenlooper mocked socialist Bernie Sanders’ ridiculous arm movements went viral.

Many viewers also noted that the Democratic Party has moved so far-left that it has alienated the millions of centrist Democrats who actually make up 70% of the party.

Brad Parscale, the manager of President Trump 2020 re-election campaign, summed it up best when he remarked: “Tonight’s debate summary: Winner: Donald Trump.”

In March, the Democratic National Committee came under fire after it banned Fox News from hosting the Democratic primary debates. President Trump reacted by suggesting that if the DNC is playing this game, he might ban “Fake News Networks” (like CNN and MSNBC) from the general election debates.
“Democrats just blocked Fox News from holding a debate. Good, then I think I’ll do the same thing with the Fake News Networks and the Radical-Left Democrats in the General Election debates!”
Critics say the DNC issued the ban because it doesn’t want Fox News moderators to ask tough questions about the rampant anti-Semitism and “blackface” racism scandals roiling the Democrat Party.
Reminder: In 2016, then-CNN contributor Donna Brazile was caught leaking debate questions to Hillary in advance in order to help her win the party’s nomination. Brazile — a longtime pal of Hillary Clinton — was the former interim chair of the DNC and a CNN contributor.
Brazile reportedly got her hands on the debate questions through her work ties at CNN and gave them to Hillary before CNN hosted its primary debate between Hillary and Bernie Sanders.
As BizPac Review reported, former CBS News reporter Lara Logan slammed the mainstream press, saying they no longer hide their partisan political agenda.
Logan pointed out that both the U.S. and global media are overwhelmingly left-wing. “In this country, 85% of journalists are registered Democrats,” Logan noted.
Accordingly, Logan says today’s mainstream media are leftist “propagandists and political activists” masquerading as objective journalists.
