Pelosi slapped by ‘The Squad’ again; say she must reach out to them, but ‘be aware we’re women of color’

Instead of continuing to exploit President Donald Trump’s trash-talking tweets for political gain, the four arguably radical congressional Democrats whom he’d targeted in his tweets over the weekend have decided to revive their ongoing feud with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Asked during a “CBS This Morning” interview Tuesday about whether they’ve made attempts to sit with the House speaker to discuss their beef, the four “Squad” members — Democrat Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley — caught an attitude and began lecturing host Gayle King about how it was on Pelosi to essentially bow to them.

“You speaking to Nancy Pelosi?” King asked.

“Our teams are in communication,” AOC responded.

“But shouldn’t it be face-to-face?” the host pressed.

And that was when Tlaib unleashed her inner demon:

“She’s the new member, not the speaker,” the anti-Semitic congresswoman said with rage dripping from her tongue. “She has every right to sit down with her at any moment, any time with any of us. She is Speaker of the House. She can ask for a meeting to sit down with us for clarification.”

“Acknowledge the fact that we are women of color, so when you do single us out, be aware of that and what you’re doing, especially because some of us are getting death threats, because some of us are being singled out in many ways because of our backgrounds, because of our experiences and so forth.”

The arrogance was astounding, but not new. Prior to last weekend’s hubbub, Ocasio-Cortez issued a similar statement suggesting that Pelosi’s criticisms of her and her “Squad” mates was rooted in racism. In fact, whenever the four face any criticism, they invariably pull out the race card. It’s almost as if they think that their skin color entitles them to immunity from criticism.

This feud between members of the “Squad” and the House speaker had been on the verge of ripping the Democrat Party apart up until the president posted a barrage of trash-talking tweets on Sunday blasting the “Squad” members for their anti-American rhetoric. The tweet wound up uniting everybody against him, thus pushing the beef to the back burner.

Every one of his enemies, from establishments Republicans to the four women’s congressional allies and, of course, the media, promptly pounced on him and began exploiting his tweets for political gain. It was just a simple matter of using his tweets to smear him and his supporters as racists.

Best of all for the left, it allowed the previously fractured Democrats to unite once again under the common banner of #OrangeManBad, according to his braggadocious critics:

But thanks to the arrogance of the “Squad,” it appears that the ruthless feud is now back on with a vengeance. Meanwhile, as the Democrats continue to bicker among themselves, congressional Republicans are mostly aligned, save for one barely noticeable “squad” of their own.

Comprised of Reps. Will Hurd, Fred Upton, Brian Fitzpatrick and Susan Brooks — four barely known, obscure Republicans with nary any influence in the party — the squad reportedly joined Democrats on Tuesday in voting for a resolution to condemn the president over his tweets.

The key difference between the Democrats’ “squad” and the Republicans’ “squad” is that nobody even knows who these “Republicans” are — that’s how irrelevant they are and have always been.
