Open-borders liberals gloat after court blocks Trump request to add citizenship question to 2020 Census

Open-borders leftists are happy that a court blocked President Trump’s request to add a citizenship question to the 2020 Census, but say they’re staying vigilant to make sure the question — which they consider racist — remains off the census.

Sarah Brannon, the managing attorney of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Voting Rights Project, called the court decision an “extreme win” for proponents of illegal immigration.

“[It is] one of the more successful legal efforts to stop the President and his intentions that are so clearly geared at demonizing people in America who are not U.S. citizens, and demonizing people from certain races and certain parts of the world who come to America to live,” Brannon said.

The Racist Left thinks only white people are citizens

However, Brannon and other open-borders leftists say they’re working overtime to make sure that court orders blocking the citizenship question from the 2020 survey remain in place.

“We need to stay diligent to make sure that they are allowed to stay on course and protect the privacy of all the individuals whose data is going to be included in this additional transfer of administrative records to the Census Bureau,” Brannon said.

Democrats are terrified that their efforts might be thwarted by President Trump’s executive order calling for all federal agencies to submit their existing records on citizens and non-citizens to the Department of Commerce.

Trump says this method would be 90% effective at getting a tally of citizens in the country. “We are not backing down in our effort to determine the citizenship status of the United States population,” Trump said.

Dems are trying to hide the vast number of illegal aliens in the US

The president blasted open-borders Democrats who are desperately trying to “conceal the number of illegal aliens in our midst.”

Trump dismissed the Democrats’ race-baiting laments calling the citizenship question discriminatory, saying the census asks far more invasive questions that no one objects to.

“We spend $20 billion on a census,” Trump said. “They go through houses, they go up, they ring doorbells, they talk to people. How many toilets do they have? How many desks do they have? How many beds? What’s their roof made of? The only thing we can’t ask is, ‘Are you a citizen of the United States?’ Isn’t it the craziest thing?”

Reminder: It’s The Left that is racist. Why? Because they presume that all illegal aliens are minorities, and vice-versa.

Citizenship question necessary to stem voter fraud

As BizPac Review reported, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the citizenship question is necessary to obtain “complete and accurate data” about voter makeup in the country.

Many legal experts say the question should be included in the 2020 Census to stem voter fraud and to better appropriate federal funding to states.

In a knee-jerk reaction, Democrats slammed the move, saying illegal immigrants would be discouraged from filling out the Census form given President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

So in other words, liberals are more concerned about protecting illegal aliens than providing the federal government with an accurate breakdown of legitimate voters.

Billionaire Steve Forbes: Citizenship is a valid question

Billionaire businessman Steve Forbes — who’s indifferent about the citizenship question — said it’s a “perfectly valid” question to include, considering that census takers are asked a wide variety of other, more-intrusive questions.

“They ask everything: How many toilets you have in the house? How many cars do you have? What is your income?” Forbes told Fox News. “Citizenship is a perfectly valid question to ask on the census.”

Republican Congressman Warren Davidson supports the decision to include a citizenship question, saying it doesn’t cheat law-abiding Americans, the way things do now.

“Apportionment for Congressional seats and electoral votes should be based on citizens, not on [legal + illegal] residents,” Davidson tweeted. “Otherwise, citizens are underrepresented. For example, California gets roughly three extra members of Congress based on estimates of illegal residents.”
