Bruce Ohr — the Obama holdover at the DOJ who pushed the anti-Trump dossier that kickstarted the fruitless Mueller investigation — was awarded a $28,000 bonus during the Russia investigation.
Keep in mind that unlike the private sector, government jobs typically do not award bonuses (that’s why government employees are called civil SERVANTS).
And when they do get bonuses on those rare occasions, the amounts are small.
Records don’t indicate why Ohr got taxpayer-funded bonus
This shocking revelation was uncovered after government watchdog Judicial Watch sued for the records of Bruce Ohr’s suspicious pay bump.
The DOJ records do not state why Ohr was given the $28,000 bonus in November 2016.
Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton says he doesn’t understand why Ohr was awarded a “performance bonus” (courtesy of US taxpayers) at the height of the Russia investigation. Was it a payoff?
“These documents will raise questions as to whether the conflicted Bruce Ohr — who the FBI used to launder information from Christopher Steele — was rewarded for his role in the illicit targeting of President Trump,” Fitton said in a statement.
Even more shocking is that after Ohr was demoted from his position as associate deputy attorney general in 2017, he received a $2,600 pay increase in 2018. Who gets a raise after being demoted?

Ohr’s wife helped compile the dirty dossier paid for by Hillary
Bruce Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr, worked at Fusion GPS — the opposition-research firm paid by Hillary Clinton to find dirt on Donald Trump during the 2016 election cycle.
Fusion GPS compiled the discredited anti-Trump dossier that was used to jumpstart Robert Mueller’s failed Russian-collusion investigation.
Ohr never revealed this conflict of interest to the FISA court when the Obama Justice Department used the dirty dossier as “evidence” to obtain bogus FISA warrants to spy on Trump campaign officials in 2016.
As BizPac Review reported, Ohr kept Andrew Weissmann — Robert Mueller’s deputy — and a handful of other anti-Trump DOJ officials in the loop about the dirty dossier his wife concocted at Fusion GPS.
Ohr’s conflict of interest not revealed to FISA court
Ohr did all this while hiding the fact that he benefited financially from the dossier from the judge who approved the bogus FISA warrants.
Bruce Ohr benefited financially because his wife Nellie worked at Fusion GPS, the purveyor of the dirty dossier. Ohr did not report on his financial disclosure forms how much money Nellie Ohr made in 2016 to manufacture the bogus dossier. It is believed that Nellie pocketed a substantial amount of money.
While Obama holdovers at the upper levels of the FBI contorted themselves to justify the sham Mueller investigation, the FBI bent over backwards to let Hillary Clinton off the hook despite a mountain of evidence suggesting she endangered national security with her unsecured private email server.
As BizPac Review reported, less than 1% of Hillary’s emails discovered on the laptop of Anthony Weiner were examined by the FBI during its 2016 investigation of Hillary’s home-grown server.
Why? Because Trump-hating FBI official Peter Strzok — an avowed Hillary superfan — personally handpicked just 3,000 (out of 700,000) of Hillary’s emails for the FBI to review before the agency closed its investigation.
