Not only does Sunny Hostin, co-host of “The View,” think Jesus Christ would attend a gay pride parade, she said Jesus would do so “with pride.”
Never mind that the Bible teaches that homosexuality is a sin.
The hard left have masterfully turned the political narrative in America on its head, going so far as to advertise the killing of unborn babies as “Planned Parenthood,” and now are applying those skills to redefining Christianity.
Not only are you now required to be accepting of homosexual relationships, you must not speak ill of the gay community. A commandment Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin of Rhode Island violated when he reminded Catholics they should not support LGBTQ events.
(June is LGBTQ Pride Month.)
“A reminder that Catholics should not support or attend LGBTQ ‘Pride Month’ events held in June,” the bishop tweeted. “They promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Catholic faith and morals. They are especially harmful for children.”

It’s not hard to imagine how that reminder went over with the crowd that sees nothing whatsoever wrong with Drag Queen Story Hour. In fact, protesters gathered outside Tobin’s cathedral on Sunday to denounce him.
A crowd Hostin is simpatico with, as seen in her remarks on Monday’s show.
“I’m so glad you brought that up because I was on Twitter this weekend and I read this tweet by Bishop Tobin, who is a Catholic bishop,” Hostin said. “He comes out and he says that he wants to remind all Catholics not to support or engage in any pride — participate in any pride, parades or anything supporting the LGBTQ community because it’s against Christian values and it is harmful to children.”

But she was only getting started in her smug, moralistic intolerance of Biblical values, as she proceeded to invoke the son of God being supportive of her stand.
“And I tweeted out that my Catholic children will be attending pride events as this Catholic will,” Hostin said. “And you know, my faith always taught me what would Jesus do? And I know Jesus would be attending that pride parade… with pride.”
The latter assertion prompted by co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who interjected, “With pride!”
Just as the left is skilled at flipping narratives, so too are they experts on conflating issues to advance their agenda and with ‘whataboutism’ applications, as seen when Hostin invoked the Catholic sex abuse scandal.
“And I also know that God is love, Jesus is love, love is love,” she continued, spouting the LGBTQ tagline. “For a Catholic bishop to come out and say something like that given the history of pedophilia in the Catholic church, given what the Catholic church has hidden about the abuse of children, some would say that being at a pride parade would be much safer for a child than it has been to be in a Catholic church for many years.”
And there you have it. Children are in greater danger attending Catholic church than a gay pride parade.
What’s not to love about today’s progressive Democrat?
And just as there is no shortage of open border Catholics in America, there are plenty of “woke” clergy willing to prostrate themselves in the name of tolerance.

For now, Tobin is holding firm, although the bishop said he regretted that his words became do so controversial.
“As a Catholic Bishop, however, my obligation before God is to lead the faithful entrusted to my care and to teach the faith, clearly and compassionately, even on very difficult and sensitive issues,” Tobin said, according to WKYT.
