Sean Hannity taunts Comey over his desperate ‘dumb liar’ op-ed: Full panic mode!

Sean Hannity blasted James Comey’s “love of the spotlight” and his latest opinion piece written in response to President Trump’s claims that officials committed “treason” in the Russia investigation.

“It is now inevitable,” the Fox News host said during his monologue on “Hannity” Tuesday. “It is not a matter of ‘if’ – it is ‘when.'”

“The American people, now you will see the truth with your own eyes, and it is not looking good for the few at the top that have abused their power,” Hannity said. “The question will be who needs to be held accountable? You do not have to take my word for it — the swamp is in full panic mode.”

“Today America’s most holier than thou, super patriot Jim Comey knows better than anybody, issuing another op-ed, calling Donald Trump a dumb liar,” Hannity continued, referring to the fired FBI chief’s op-ed slamming Trump in The Washington Post.

“For some reason, super patriot Jim Comey forgot to mention the dirty Hillary Clinton bought and paid for Russian lie dossier even though it was him. He was the guiding light for nearly a year and the very basis for the corruption accusations,” Hannity continued, warning Comey that “you do have the right to remain silent.”

“You should have taken my advice from the get-go. Sadly, I think that your rage for President Trump and intense love of the spotlight is really overcoming every bit of common sense that you might have,” he said.

Comey slammed Trump in his op-ed, writing that “there was no corruption. There was no treason. There was no attempted coup. Those are lies, and dumb lies at that. There were just good people trying to figure out what was true, under unprecedented circumstances.”

“The conspiracy theory makes no sense. The FBI wasn’t out to get Donald Trump. It also wasn’t out to get Hillary Clinton. It was out to do its best to investigate serious matters while walking through a vicious political minefield,” Comey wrote as the Justice Department ramped up its investigation into the origins of the Russia investigation.

“But go ahead, investigate the investigators, if you must. When those investigations are over, they will find the work was done appropriately and focused only on discerning the truth of very serious allegations,” the former FBI Director wrote.

The president last week denounced the investigations into him and the alleged spying on his 2016 presidential campaign.

“That’s treason. They couldn’t win the election, and that’s what happened,” Trump said.

Hannity accused the Comey of “desperately now trying to shape the narrative” away from focus on himself and other anti-Trump “deep state” figures such as former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan.

“The anxiety is palpable. Tonight the deep state is in full panic mode,” Hannity added. “They are even digging bigger holes every single time they open their mouths.”
