An Ohio meteorologist unloaded on viewers who were complaining that the television station’s tornado alerts were cutting into the latest episode of “The Bachelorette.”
WKEF’s Jamie Simpson had been updating viewers of the dangerous tornado activity in their area on Monday night when he slammed the critics on social media who were complaining about the network’s decision to cut into “The Bachelorette” with the emergency coverage.

Severe storms and tornadoes left a wake of destruction in parts of Ohio Monday as one person was killed and dozens of others injured. As the dangerous weather rolled in, Simpson updated viewers on the ABC affiliate in Dayton.
“I was just checking social media,” he said during one report.
“We have viewers complaining already. ‘Just go back to the show!’ No! We’re not going back to the show, folks! This is a dangerous situation, okay?!” he exclaimed.
“I’m sick and tired of people complaining about this!” Simpson said. “Our job here is to keep people safe. And that’s what we’re going to do.”
A tornado warning had been issued fora portion of WKEF’s viewing area, but apparently some viewers thought Simpson just liked hearing himself on the air.
“Some of you complain that this is all about my ego. Stop, okay?! Just stop right now!” the obviously aggravated weatherman said. “It’s not. I’m done with you people! I really am. This is pathetic!”
And Simpson was not overreacting, as the aftermath of the deadly weather showed the complete destruction it left in its wake.

Its shocking that some ppl are more concerned with some female getting a date than letting an emergency service update ppl on possible natural disasters that can potentially keep them safe and informed ?

He is dead right. Its gotta be frustrating to have people complain while he’s trying to get out warnings to people who are in imminent danger.

Our modern day reality, people don’t give a damn about public safety until it effects them directly.
