It seems progressive Democrats waste no opportunity to push the narrative of climate change – even using the momentous birth of a royal baby to sound the alarm.
Sen. Brian Schatz sparked a collective eye-roll on social media after offering his two-cents on a name for the newest British royal, a baby boy born to Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, on Monday.

While the world celebrated the birth of Queen Elizabeth’s eighth great-grandchild, and speculation ran rampant about name possibilities, Schatz could not let the moment pass without political commentary.
I think they should name the royal baby CLIMATE CHANGE IS A PLANETARY EMERGENCY

The Hawaii Democrat found very few on the left who cheered on his idea.
Brilliant!!

The Twitter page for the self-described “Climate Hawk,” who was appointed in 2012 to fill the seat left by the death of Democratic Sen. Daniel Inouye, is replete with climate change and climate “emergency” commentary.

At the World Economic Forum, experts named climate change is the top economic and social risk facing the world. Of all risks, it is in relation to the environment that the world is most clearly sleepwalking into catastrophe – 2019 Global Risks Report

In a recent thread on Twitter, the former Democratic Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii opined that the “American agencies that oversee the financial system have decided to ignore climate change.”
This is in direct contrast to almost every other industrialized country and their regulatory agencies. Whether they are run by right wing or left wing governments, everyone else is taking financial risk related to climate change seriously. Except in America.

But using the joyous news of the birth of a baby to push the left’s climate agenda was not a good look for the congressman as his royal baby name suggestion – joking or not – was met with scorching mockery.

Yes, that’s truly the one thing stopping meaningful action on climate change: too much coverage of a royal baby.
Jesus, let people enjoy things.

I have nothing but respect for you, but could we please focus on fixing our government! Thank you and aloha. ??✌?

Many Twitter users used the warnings of “climate emergency” proponents against them.
And then very publicly announce they will have no more children because of #ClimateBreakdown and the need for smaller families. They could set a British trend.

Imagine being saddled with that name, and on your 12th birthday come to the realization that THE WORLD DIDN’T END.
