Barack Obama boasts narcissistic plan to ‘train a million Baracks and Michelles’ to transform the world

A future world seen through the eyes of former President Barack Obama may leave some dreading his vision.

The former president spoke with a Canadian crowd Monday about his goal to create a “university for social change” while touting his Obama Foundation and its mission to “train a million Baracks and Michelles” to transform the world, the Washington Examiner reported.

Obama was hopeful about the next generation of leaders despite the “challenging times” we are living in, telling the sold-out crowd of about 13,500 people in Winnipeg about the programs that are part of his Obama Foundation and its $500 million Chicago-based presidential center project.

“Younger people are trying to get away from the baggage that us older folks hoist on them, and that makes me feel optimistic,” he said.

“If we train them — if we give them skills, support, financing, media training, spotlights, then they’re the ones that are going to carry forward the solutions that we so desperately need,” Obama said.

“If we could form a network of those young leaders, not just in the United States, but around the world, then we got something,” he added, “if we can train a million Baracks and Michelles who are running around thinking they can change the world,” hope can be achieved.

Obama has been heavily criticized (outside the media) for relentlessly using the words “I” and “me” in speeches, and for never meeting a camera he didn’t like.

His words echoed remarks he made at a conference in Japan last year.

“After I left office, what I realized is that the Obama Foundation could potentially create a platform for young, up-and-coming leaders, both in the United States and all around the world to come together, meet together, create a digital platform where they could exchange information,” he said at the time, according to CNN. “If I could do that effectively, then I would create a hundred, or a thousand, or a million young Barack Obamas or Michelle Obamas.”

Obama spoke Monday to the Bell MTS Place crowd who paid as much as $500 to be there, about his presidency and other issues during his address and discussion with moderator Michael Burns, the former head of the Invictus Games.

Though he did not mention President Trump by name, Obama told the Canadian crowd he wasn’t sure America could successfully face off a challenge like a recession with the current leadership.

“If we had a crisis today, I’m concerned that we, at least in the United States, may not be in the habit of trying to figure things out in a common sense, practical way,” he said, according to CBC News.

“I think the danger that we have sometimes now in our politics in the United States, and what I’m seeing internationally, is us being driven by passions, and (we) are disconnected from facts, that in fact deliberately are shielded from facts and reason and logic,” he said, according to the Huffington Post.

Twitter users weighed in on Obama’s cringeworthy vision for a future filled with “a million Baracks and Michelles.”
