BuzzFeed reporter tries to catch Tucker in sex scandal and things go sideways, fast

Fox News host Tucker Carlson found himself at the center of a BuzzFeed reporter’s epic failure at trying to shame him in a supposed sex scandal.

BuzzFeed News’ chief Los Angeles correspondent, Kate Aurthur, was summarily torched on social media after she posted what she proposed was a scandalous photo of Carlson last week.

“Remember @tuckercarlson’s lecture during the height of family separation in June about how the left doesn’t care about family values? Well, I’m not one to kink shame, but here he is with a sex worker. Go Tucker?” Aurthur tweeted, sharing a post from the Twitter account of a female sex worker.

Christina Parreira had tweeted a photo of herself kissing the Fox News host on the cheek as he was seen laughing and slightly turning away. Parreira captioned the photo with The Daily Caller co-founder, “#NewProfilePic TUCK!!!”

Aurther was not only shredded on the social media platform for her attempt to catch Carlson in a sex scandal, any hopes of pushing her inane theory were dashed when the photographer behind the picture roasted the reporter.

“I took that photo at… a funeral. Christina didn’t even tell Carlson her profession,” Mitchell Sunderland wrote. “All anyone spoke about that night was our dead mutual friend. It was the most PG-rated night in Nevada history.”

Sunderland found it appalling that Aurthur used the photo from the funeral of a “dear friend” to smear Carlson “in the name of wokeness,” noting how the Fox News host had no idea what Parreira’s background was.

Parreira slammed the reporter directly, telling her she should be “ashamed” of herself and challenging her to respond.

Aurthur, who back in 2016 wrote a hit-piece on beloved HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines and their Christian faith, did take the challenge – sort of.

Saying her piece and blocking Parreira, Aurthur seemed to be done with her so-called response.

But Sunderland continued to field comments about the photo and the funeral where it was taken.

Parreira doubled down as well while she was flooded with mentions on Twitter.

She even posted a second photo of herself with Carlson as she mocked the non-scandal.

Parreira also tweeted out why she believes the “sisterhood” was largely silent and did not come to her defense.

She addressed the controversy in more detail in a piece for The Federalist published on Monday, titled, “Stop Shaming Me For Taking A Photo With Tucker Carlson At A Funeral.”

“There was nothing salacious or inappropriate about this moment with Carlson. It was a celebrity taking a few minutes out of his day to make a fan feel good,” she wrote. “I approached Tucker and told him what a huge fan I was, and he was kind enough to say yes to a photo. It was nothing more and nothing less. When I offered to buy him a drink, he declined. He had a club soda instead.”

Parreira explained that she “was not there as a sex worker that day. I was simply a friend in mourning,” while slamming the left for hypocrisy.

“I am proud to be a sex worker, but I am not defined simply by what I do to pay the bills. It’s interesting how, again and again, the supposedly feminist left takes women and reduces them to nothing but their job title, is it not?” Parreira asked.

“Aurthur threw together a reckless tweet, without checking the context, in an effort to garner clickbait,” she added. “We deserve better from journalists, and I am getting tired of one ‘fake news’ hit piece after another. Do better.”
