Attorney L. Lin Wood — who filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against the Washington Post for smearing 16-year-old Nick Sandmann — vows to file “hundreds” of other lawsuits against other media outlets that pushed the false narrative that Sandmann had bullied a Native-American activist.
Media Wanted to Smear All Trump Supporters
Wood told Fox News host Sean Hannity that the media targeted Nick to indirectly attack President Trump and all Trump supporters.
“If Nicholas had not purchased that souvenir [MAGA] cap that day — if he was not wearing it — none of us would know who Nick Sandmann is. He would still be living his life privately, going to school without worrying about how his school and his classmates and the world feel about him.
Here is a 16-year-old kid, Sean. It is tough being 16. Think about what this young boy is having to deal with at age 16 when the entire world saw him the way that the media portrayed him as literally the face of evil.
It is inexcusable, reprehensible conduct by the media. And the Washington Post led the way.”
Wood: I Will Bring the Lying Media to Their Knees
Hannity asked if Wood plans to sue other press outlets and Hollywood celebrities who jumped on the bandwagon to smear Sandmann in order to attack Trump supporters.
“Certainly hundreds [of lawsuits are coming]. The good news is that we have two and a half years to identify and file lawsuits against the wrongdoers. Because he is a minor, Nick will turn 18 in July of 2020. We have two and a half years.
We have a lot of work to do because the social media and mainstream mob of bullies was extremely large in number. And they were very vocal.
And the mainstream media like the Washington Post gave them a megaphone to shout to the world that this young boy had instigated this event — which he did not.
Nicholas Sandmann did not do anything wrong. He exhibited the most respectful behavior of anyone involved in this incident. He was a child. He was accosted by adults. The black Hebrew Israelites, as your clip shows, were yelling the most obscene slurs at these boys. Homophobic, racist slurs.
And then you have this character, [Nathan] Phillips. I have watched what he said, and he does not tell the same story twice because he is a liar.”
‘We Will Be Relentless’
When Hannity asked Lin Wood if he plans to sue left-wing Native American activist Nathan Phillips, Wood did not answer directly, but it sure sounds like Phillips is in Wood’s crosshairs.
Phillips has lied to the media by claiming Nick and his classmates at Covington Catholic High School had bullied him with racist slurs. Video evidence proved these allegations are false.
Hannity said: “I assume by those comments and what you said on Twitter that you would sue Nathan Phillips as well. I watch what those kids went through and what the people said, and they said nothing back. I don’t know if I would have had that kind of restraint.”
As BizPac Review reported, L. Lin Wood is delivering on his promise to crush the lying, irresponsible media for recklessly defaming his teen client.
“We will be relentless in our pursuit of justice for Nick,” Wood declared in January. “This is not a threat ― this is a fact.”
Wood Filed $750 Million Defamation Lawsuit Vs CBS
In 2016, L. Lin Wood represented JonBenet Ramsey’s brother, Burke Ramsey, in a stunning $750 million defamation suit against CBS.
In his complaint, Burke claimed CBS ruined his reputation after airing a TV series suggesting he had murdered his 6-year-old sister in the high-profile unsolved mystery.
That defamation lawsuit was settled on January 9. Financial terms were not disclosed.
‘There Needs to Be Accountability’
In October 2018, Lin Wood urged Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to file a defamation lawsuit against the countless media outlets that knowingly published false rumors that he was a gang rapist ― without a scintilla of evidence.
“In an accusation so heinous as to accuse this good man of being complicit in gang rape, indecent exposure, and sexual assault…doing nothing is unacceptable,” Wood said. “The message should be sent: There needs to be accountability.”
