‘Tough. I’ll give her that’: Reaction pours in when Ruth Ginsburg spotted ‘doing fine’ at Reagan Airport

The great RBG mystery is now over.

America can rest assured that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is doing “just fine” as she was finally spotted on camera amid wild speculation about her whereabouts for the last few weeks.

The 85-year-old has not been seen on camera since her last appearance in a public session in early December, before undergoing surgery for lung cancer. TMZ caught up with the Supreme Court Justice as she walked through Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. on Monday.

“How are you doing? Everyone in America is wondering how you’re doing right now,” the TMZ reporter asked the frail Justice who was flanked by security but apparently had no trouble getting around on her own.

“Just fine,” she responded.

Eight weeks after undergoing surgery to remove two cancerous nodules from her left lung, Ginsburg returned to the bench on Tuesday, ending liberals’ fears that she would not be coming back.

NBC News’ Pete Williams reported that the justice, who was nominated to the Supreme Court by former President Bill Clinton in 1993, walked in “under her own steam” and took her customary seat before asking the Court’s first question in oral arguments.

Arguably the most liberal justice on the court, Ginsburg’s long absence and lack of camera appearances left many wondering if she was even still alive.

And while she has indicated she has no plans to retire immediately, eyes are on Ginsburg’s every move as her departure from the Court would make way for President Trump to nominate his third candidate, undoubtedly another conservative.

Video of Ginsburg at the airport did not seem to quell the demands on social media as many still would not believe what TMZ was reporting.

Reports of Ginsburg back on the bench did not go over so well either as Twitter users demanded more proof.

Many others, however, just saluted her tenacity.
