The arrest, interrogation, investigation and prosecution of a British woman for the alleged crime of arguing with and misgendering a so-called “transgender woman” on social media has many wondering whether free speech is a dead concept in the United Kingdom.
Are we getting to the PC tipping point yet? This is insane and has to stop.

According to RT, Northern England woman Kate Scottow, 34, was recently arrested by three police officers in front of her children and locked up for seven hours after the “transgender woman” filed a complaint accusing her of calling him a man.
“I was arrested in my home by three officers, with my autistic ten-year-old daughter and breastfed 20-month old son present,” Scottow reportedly said in a statement following her arrest.
“I was then detained for seven hours in a cell with no sanitary products, which I said I needed, before being interviewed, then later released under investigation. IÂ was arrested for harassment and malicious communications because I called someone out and misgendered them on Twitter.”
Local authorities specifically claim she’d carried out “a campaign of targeted harassment” that involved her making “defamatory posts in a ‘toxic debate over gender,'” as reported by RT.
In other words, she was allegedly arrested for simply talking trash to a “transgender woman.”
Or was she? The alleged victim, Stephanie Hayden, alleges otherwise.
In a Twitter statement posted Sunday, a day after the Daily Mail’s Martin Beckford broke the story about Scottow’s arrest, he claimed that Scottow had released his personal details.
“What Beckford fails to mention is that the subject of the injunction is alleged to have disclosed private financial and medical information about me on social media channels including one set up for the sole purpose of harassing me for being #transgender,” he wrote.
Note the used of the word alleged. Why would the victim of a crime refer to the act as alleged?
In another statement published Tuesday, Hayden argued that though he had indeed complained to local authorities about Scottow allegedly misgendering him, the bulk of his complaint had about my her alleged sharing of his confidential details on social media.

If these claims are true, then Scottow’s arrest may have been warranted. However, she’s denied Hayden’s allegations, arguing that she never harassed nor defamed Hayden.
She added that it’s a “genuine and reasonable belief” to note — be it in person or online — that biological human beings “cannot practically speaking change sex.”
Deputy Judge Jason Coppel has reportedly meanwhile banned the mother of two from speaking about Hayden’s “former male identity” or “referencing her as a man.”
While it’s true the judge has also reportedly banned her from sharing Hayden’s personal information online, what does Scottow talking about biological reality have to do with this? Many feel as if the judge wants to stop anyone from questioning the transgender movement. But he’s not the only one.
“Last month, a docker in Northern England was informed by the police in Humberside that he would be the subject of a formal investigation for tweeting out a limerick about transgender people,” LifeSiteNews notes.
“Several weeks after that, the police in Suffolk contacted a 74-year-old woman, and an officer asked her to stop tweeting comments critical of transgender ideology, and to perhaps consider deleting some of her previous social media posts.”
It’s as if the authorities in the U.K. are acting as literal PC police. Meanwhile, real crimes are being ignored, as noted by a bevy of social media users:
“Boris Johnson accuses police of ‘wasting time’ on anti-transgender crime instead of tackling stabbings”@BorisJohnson talks sense that 90% would agree with.

Social media users are also concerned about the long-term implications:

The court BANNED her from calling the transgender person a “man”
