Adam Levine’s Super Bowl LIII halftime performance is the gift that keeps on giving.
The Maroon 5 singer’s appearance during Sunday’s big game in Atlanta has continued to reverberate on social media long after the New England Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams, thanks to some clever trolling by retail stores.
Home merchandise retailer, Bed, Bath & Beyond, was crowned the “real winner” of the Super Bowl after it used an image of Levine from the halftime show in a tweet along with a pillow and curtains.

“Two of these matching items are available at Bed Bath & Beyond. Guess which?” the New Jersey-based retailer asked its nearly 200,000 Twitter followers on Monday.
Bed, Bath & Beyond’s trolling was much appreciated as reaction poured in on Twitter.

I love how they took it and rolled with it ? Whoever runs the social media marketing there deserves a raise.

But Levine continued to inspire, providing Chipotle Mexican Grill with a great opportunity to reach out to customers. On Sunday, the fast-casual restaurant chain retweeted Twitter user PaigePierce15 who shared, “Adam Levine with his shirt off looks like a Chipotle bag.”
Twitter users joined the fun, admitting they could not “unsee” the comparison of Levine’s tattoos and the paper bag used by the Mexican food chain.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought the same ! pic.twitter.com/wljBuMQQPo

No telling what Levine thinks of being compared to home goods or paper bags as he has not yet responded to the trolling. The Maroon 5 frontman did, however, comment on his Instagram account following the Super Bowl performance, apparently responding to the countless critics who have slammed the halftime show as one of “the worst in recent memory.”
I like Maroon 5 but not for a halftime show. That whole thing was just terrible. Terrible production. Disjointed performances. Boring.

The band initially came under fire by some for even signing up to perform after other big names in the business turned down the prestigious gig to support Colin Kaepernick’s protest kneeling during the national anthem. Levine addressed fans and critics alike in his words of gratitude.
Meanwhile, Twitter users moved on with their own Levine comparisons, entertaining the internet with the side-by-side images.
Most exciting thing about Super bowl 53….was that Adams shirt looks like my chair! pic.twitter.com/sjBqgjwWVC
