Melania Trump wins ‘substantial’ money damages, apology for Telegraph’s hit piece filled with errors

The Telegraph newspaper apologized to First Lady Melania Trump for publishing fake news about her.

First Lady Melania Trump is taking no prisoners in her war on defamatory fake news. The UK tabloid Telegraph issued a groveling apology and agreed to pay Melania “substantial” monetary damages for publishing lies about her background.

In its bootlicking January 26 apology, the Telegraph wrote:

“Following last Saturday’s (Jan 19) Telegraph magazine cover story “The mystery of Melania”, we have been asked to make clear that the article contained a number of false statements which we accept should not have been published.

Mrs. Trump’s father was not a fearsome presence and did not control the family. Mrs Trump did not leave her Design and Architecture course at University relating to the completion of an exam, as alleged in the article, but rather because she wanted to pursue a successful career as a professional model.

Mrs Trump was not struggling in her modelling career before she met Mr Trump, and she did not advance in her career due to the assistance of Mr Trump.

We accept that Mrs Trump was a successful professional model in her own right before she met her husband and obtained her own modelling work without his assistance.

Mrs Trump met Mr Trump in 1998, not in 1996 as stated in the article. The article also wrongly claimed that Mrs Trump’s mother, father and sister relocated to New York in 2005 to live in buildings owned by Mr Trump. They did not. The claim that Mrs Trump cried on election night is also false.

We apologise unreservedly to The First Lady and her family for any embarrassment caused by our publication of these allegations. As a mark of our regret we have agreed to pay Mrs Trump substantial damages as well as her legal costs.”

In 2017, Melania Won $2.9 Million from Daily Mail

This is not the first time that Melania Trump has scored a legal victory against the lying media.

As BizPac Review reported, the Daily Mail agreed to pay $2.9 million in damages to settle a libel lawsuit Mrs. Trump had filed in 2017 over a bogus story claiming she had worked as an escort during her early days as a model.

Here’s an idea: Melania could single-handedly fund the border wall.

Aggressive Litigator Vows to Crush Lying Media

Perhaps Melania’s aggressive prosecution of malicious lies will be copied by the bulldog litigator who was just hired by MAGA hat-wearing teen, Nick Sandmann.

The Covington Catholic High School student was defamed after the liberal media pushed the false narrative that Sandmann had harassed a Native American activist.

Unedited video of the incident vindicated Sandmann, but not before he, his family, and his classmates received a barrage of death threats amid the sham press reports.

Yesterday, Sandmann’s family hired high-profile litigator L. Lin Wood, whose specialty is libel. Wood promised that lawsuits are coming for the media who callously lied about his teen client.

“We fully expect that a multitude of civil lawsuits will be filed and aggressively pursued,” Wood vowed.
