President Donald Trump’s food fest for the NCAA champions may have triggered the liberal media but members of the Clemson Tigers had a different take on their White House visit.
The media outdid themselves in the race to disparage the president after he hosted the college football national champions with burgers and other food from America’s fast food giants, McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s – served up on silver platters.

The menu of “great American food” included pizzas, french fries and even salads which were promptly eaten up by the team that defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in the NCAA College Football Playoff championship on Jan. 7.
On cue, the left slammed the president and his choice of food, which he paid for out of his own pocket due to the partial government shutdown. Despite the appreciation of the players, the media launched an assault complete with fact-checking on even the number of burgers Trump claimed were served, as well as a typo in the president’s tweet that set off another round of memes.
Trump to media yesterday: “We have 300 hamburgers”
Trump to Clemson yesterday: “I go out and send for about 1,000 hamburgers”
Trump this morning: “I served them massive amounts of Fast Food (I paid), over 1000 hamberders”— Daniel Dale (@ddale8) January 15, 2019
Celebrities jumped in to slam the president and offer to host the team with what they considered a better meal.
“Good Morning America” host and former football player Michael Strahan proposed lobster and caviar in New York City.
ATTENTION @ClemsonFB: @michaelstrahan has a very important announcement for you! Should we expect to see you in Times Square for lobster AND caviar soon?#QTNA #GMADay https://t.co/W1vUNMab63 pic.twitter.com/fwPlNxERyb

Celebrity chef Ayesha Curry tweeted an open invitation for the team to enjoy a “real feast” at her barbecue restaurant International Smoke.
No wonder why @StephenCurry30 didn’t want to go… I’d much rather eat whatever @ayeshacurry is cooking any day too ??? https://t.co/SnQstLlAMl

The host of “Ayesha’s Homemade” on Food Network is married to Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, who said he would decline a White House invitation following the 2017 NBA finals.
Liberal actor George Takei, of “Star Trek” fame, blasted the White House event as a “national trauma.”
The White House dinner for the Clemson Tigers summed up our national trauma perfectly: An isolated, self-proclaimed billionaire, ever stingy when paying the tab, forces real heroes to listen to him drone on senselessly, making this about him while their food goes cold and soggy.

Clemson offensive lineman Matt Bockhorst, however, was not about to join the media circus, responding to a photo of him with Big Macs that went viral.
I mean you’re not just gonna NOT eat the Big Macs stacked in a pile right? https://t.co/nsWC0ptCvi

Bockhurst even gave a classy takedown of another critic who mocked that all he had to show for his playing efforts were a Big Mac and CTE, a brain condition connected to repeated blows to the head.
And a scholarship, a stipend, an education, a head coach that cares and last but not least, a National Championship Ring ?? Goodnight Twitter https://t.co/xkkFIg8Dp6

Clemson defensive back Nolan Turner tweeted the White House buffet was one of the “greatest” he’d ever been through.

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence also took to Twitter to clear up a quote that was incorrectly attributed to him.
Lawrence was supposed to have said: “President Trump got all our favorite foods, it was the best meal we ever had. Then we go see the coastal elite media trashing it for not being organic vegan. We’re football players, not bloggers. This was a perfect blue-collar party.”
But after the quote circulated on social media, the Clemson freshman quarterback stepped in to set the record straight, while declaring the visit to the White House was “awesome!”
I never said this by the way… I don’t know where it came from.
However the trip to the White House was awesome! https://t.co/dhYzZpSNUD

I made a mistake. Someone sent me the meme. I didn’t fact check. That’s on me. pic.twitter.com/UGoBiVJZT1

He also told TMZ Sports that he loved the president’s food spread looked forward to doing it again.
