A middle school principal in Texas is on administrative leave after sparking a firestorm of backlash following comments about “illegal aliens” coming to the U.S.
Lufkin Middle School’s William Dugat found himself placed on leave last week as the Lufkin Independent School District launched an investigation, stating they did not “support or condone” the principal’s “actions or comments,” The Dallas Morning News reported.
Every day Americans are being mocked, shamed and harassed for having Conservative views. Trump isn’t what is stoking the anger. This is what is causing it. People are tired of being bullied and Trump gets it.

Dugat’s comments were in response to a Facebook post featuring a picture of a woman, math teacher Zoie Lovejoy, with Tex Rep. Beto O’Rourke, who is currently in a race against incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz for the Texas Senate seat.

“I worry about the USA looking like Mexico and South America with so many illegal aliens being welcomed to our country,” Dugat allegedly wrote. “Guess we are doomed to have a dirty country either way.”
Comments, which appear to have been removed, were mixed but heated as responses came in to the eighth-grade principal’s words.
“How can he adequately serve the needs of his non-white students as an open, proud racist?” one user cited by the news outlet commented.
“He is supporting the law of the land,” another wrote. “How is that grounds for suspension?”
The school district was made aware of Dugat’s post last Friday and followed through with action.
“We do not support or condone his actions or comments,” Lufkin ISD spokeswoman Sheila Adams said in a statement, according to Bradenton Herald. “He was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation of the incident.”
The responses continued to be mixed on Twitter where some condemened the “racist” remarks while others demanded to know how immigration status points to race.
Update: William Dugat has been placed on administrative leave while the school decides what to do next.
Thank you so much for contacting Lufkin ISD about this. I hope your comments push them to fire him permanently. Racism has no place in our schools. https://t.co/oGPFBUdtqy

Over half of the student population is Hispanic. As a parent of one of the children at that school, I’m disgusted and not at all surprised.
