President Trump is being slammed as a “racist” for enforcing longstanding federal immigration laws, but he reminded everyone that Barack Obama previously held the same policy position, and the media blithely cheered him on.
“I agree with President Obama 100%,” Trump tweeted, along with a 2005 video of then-senator Obama saying illegal immigration is unlawful and must be eradicated.
“We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States,” Obama said. “But those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law.”
“We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants into this country.”

Obama isn’t the only Democrat Party leader who was once applauded for holding the same immigration stances that President Trump is now smeared for enforcing.
In 1995, then-president Bill Clinton received a standing ovation at a State of the Union address when he slammed illegal immigration:
“All Americans .are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country. The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants.
The public service they use impose burdens on our taxpayers. That’s why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring, by barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens.”
Bill Clinton underscored that the United States “is a nation of laws,” and said those defying our laws must be deterred.
“We are a nation of immigrants,” Clinton said. “But we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years, and we must do more to stop it.”
Meanwhile, the Democrats are doing everything they can to position the 7,000-strong caravan of illegal migrants in Central America as “poor victims” that only the U.S. can rescue.
Keep in mind that these “refugees” have refused asylum in Mexico, because they are demanding entry into the United States.
Meanwhile, a reporter with Spanish-language channel Univision and investigative reporter Sara Carter both independently confirmed that MS 13 gang members and random Bangladeshi nationals have infiltrated the caravan headed for the U.S.
President Trump responded by saying the United States will cut off the $180 million in foreign aid we had pledged to send to Central American countries in fiscal year 2019.
So say buh-bye to this U.S. gravy train. Try again in 2020.
