Sen. Susan Collins was the last hope for Democrats opposing the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh and her decision to vote in favor of the Supreme Court nominee had an atomic effect in Hollywood.
Friday’s Senate vote to end debate on Kavanaugh’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court saw a 51-49 decision which advanced the process to a final vote expected Saturday.
Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin was the only Democrat who voted for cloture in Kavanaugh’s confirmation, simultaneously gaining the gratitude and the ire of many. Across the aisle, Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski came under fire after she broke ranks with her party and voted ‘no’ on Friday.
Collins was seen as a swing vote and for those opposing Kavanaugh’s confirmation, there was hope she would still vote ‘no’ in the final up or down vote on Saturday. But the Maine Republican’s announcement Friday afternoon that she planned to support Kavanaugh’s nomination sent liberals into a meltdown.

So what have we learned today?
1. There’s no such thing as a “moderate Republican” south of the Arctic Circle
2. We won’t forget that 1 yr 2 the day of the demise of one predator(HW), we put
another 1 on the Supreme Court
3. We are 1 day closer to the impeachment of B. Kavanaugh— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) October 6, 2018
Susan Collins is the Aunt Lydia of the Senate.

Actress Amy Schumer and model Emily Ratajkowski, who were arrested at a protest in the Senate Office Building on Thursday, were noticeably quiet on Twitter. But plenty of their Hollywood cohorts sounded the alarm on Twitter.

Apparently seeing the writing on the wall, comedian Kathy Griffin flooded her Twitter account advertising of “Impeach Brett” merchandise.
Just added this T-shirt to my merch store. More stuff and news coming.
I’m so pissed…it is up to us and the press to continue to reveal who he is.

She offered a vulgar discount code and even encouraged fans to send some of the T-shirts, mugs and hats to Kavanaugh himself.
B) I love coming up with discount code names. Until midnight pacific time tonight, 15% off your entire order in my store.

And while the rest of the Hollywood left was not peddling merchandise, they were anything but silent after Collins’ announcement.

Susan Collins turns her back on women who have been traumatized by sexual assault. Elections have consequences. To start turning the ship of state back towards the rule of law, decency, truth, and the preservation of Democracy, Nov.6 has to be a lot more than a blue wave. VOTE!!!

Why are wealthy liberal white girls holding the ‘black power’ symbol while begging to be arrested for their temper tantrums?
In what over-privileged, bratty alternate universe do these Hollywood elitists think they live in? @amyschumer, sit down, clown. pic.twitter.com/XOiTf3zoPu
