Bongino begs GOP to act now or they’ll be ‘absolutely wiped out’: ‘Take the vote and get them on the record’

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino warned Republicans to support and vote for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh or face dire consequences in November.

Bongino reacted to the latest in the unfolding drama involving Kavanaugh as Friday saw the Senate Judiciary Committee vote to advance his nomination to the Senate floor for a full vote while Sen. Jeff Flake called for a delay pending yet another FBI investigation, this tine focusing on the decades-old sexual assault allegations brought against the judge.

“I don’t know how much more, Tucker, people will be able to take out there,” the NRATV host told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Friday.

Bongino noted that even his friends on both sides of the political aisle who are “marginally interested in politics,” have told him they “can’t believe what is happening.”

Following Flake setting up the conditions for his vote, and after the circus that unfolded in hearings with Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, Bongino issued a stark wake-up call for Republicans.

“Tucker, if they let this guy go down, Brett Kavanaugh, if they let this character assassination of a father, a basketball coach, a son, and a dedicated public servant go down in flames,” he said. “if they let this happen, I can’t tell you, the GOP will be wiped, absolutely wiped out in the midterms. It will be a stain on them forever.”

Bongino admitted, “I’m exhausted this week.”

“Everybody is,” he added, but urged “this is not time to give up the fight.”

“But I’m just begging these guys in Congress and the women on our side. Take the damn vote. Take the vote. Get them on the record” he said passionately.

In one of many tweets, Bongino called out Flake and his encounter with Soros-funded protesters in an elevator before his dramatic vote Friday.

“If we are going to lose, go down swinging,” he told Carlson. “And at least we have something in the midterms to hold the people to account on in red states. And these Republicans who claim to champion our values. Take the vote. It’s time to fight.”

Carlson agreed, likening the recent events to watching a horror movie.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced Friday, just hours after the drama with Flake and the Judiciary Committee’s vote, that “all 51 Republican members of the Senate support the motion to proceed to the nomination.”

“This is a nomination that deserves to move forward — and that is precisely what is happening,” McConnell said. “The full Senate will begin considering Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination today.”

Bongino, who recently declared that Kavanaugh should be getting ready “to sue the living snot” out of those who’ve defamed him, decimated Flake and the shameful antics of Democrats in several tweets on Friday.
