New video features Hollywood celebs glaring with silent stares of shame to motivate voters

Hollywood liberals now think that condescending stares will motivate voters to get to the polls in November.

A group of pretentious HBO stars featured in a new video supposedly aimed at getting Americans to vote has backfired on Twitter, creating a wave of “vote Republican” tweets.

Lena Dunham, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kumail Nanjiani, Tony Hale, “Game of Thrones” creator George R.R. Martin, “Westworld” star Ed Harris and even Henry Winkler appear in the “Rock the Vote” video, silently staring at the camera.

“Right now, there’s only one voice that needs to be heard. Yours,” the video ends.

“The right to vote is one of the most ignored gifts of our democracy,” HBO’s senior vice president of corporate social responsibility, Dennis Williams, said in a statement. “At HBO, we often have programs that give voice to the underrepresented. This partnership with Rock the Vote is us encouraging you to use your voice so that you are heard.”

Rock the Vote president Carolyn DeWitt added that there “needs to be a heightened awareness of the importance of all American voices, especially those of young people.”

“By voting, these voices can be put to real use,” she said, presumably meaning only voices on the left.

“Your voice is only as loud as your vote,” HBO tweeted.

But that unleashed a torrent of responses urging voters to “vote Republican” in an epic thread on Twitter.

The video earned plenty of mockery on social media as Twitter users slammed it for doing anything but motivating them to vote.
