Fox News host Jesse Watters and liberal pundit Juan Williams clashed over merit-based immigration while discussing President Trump’s border wall on “The Five.”
Williams said Trump wants to halt immigration. Greg Gutfeld quipped, “Illegal immigration.” Watters pointed out that Trump wants merit-based immigration, like many other countries do.
“He wants chain [migration over], [diversity visa] lotto over,” Watters said. “That would cut legal immigration by bringing in the best and brightest. So we don’t bring in some guy’s uncle from Zimbabwe…or Thailand.”
Predictably, Juan Williams — a proponent of illegal immigration — race-baited by noting that Watters had mentioned “Zimbabwe.” That’s why Watters sarcastically threw in: “Or Thailand, Juan.”
Jesse Watters is correct: President Trump wants merit-based immigration so the United States doesn’t devolve into a third-world, socialist gravy train for unskilled, uneducated illegal aliens whose lives are bankrolled by American taxpayers.
Merit-based selection happens all around you: In NBA drafts, job interviews, the college application process, and even dating. If you need an operation, do you want the best surgeon to treat you? Or do you want a doctor who only got into medical school to fill an ethnic quota? Think about that.
With a population ballooning past 325 million, it only makes sense for the U.S. to crack down on illegal immigration and even stem legal immigration. Why? Because there are only so many working taxpayers who can take care of their own families while also paying for illegals.
Chain migration has been a disaster for the United States, as has the diversity visa lottery program, which lets anyone come into the country.
As BizPac Review previously reported, radical Islamic terrorist Sayfullo Saipov, who murdered eight people in New York on Halloween Day 2017, came to the United States through the diversity visa lottery program.
The diversity visa lottery was enacted in 1995 under Bill Clinton. New York Democrat Chuck Schumer helped develop the program, whose goal is “diversify the immigrant population in the United States.”
Earth to libs: Which country is more diverse than the US?
So basically, liberals rolled out the red carpet for terrorist Sayfullo Saipov in order to “diversify the immigrant population.”

While liberals champion open borders, many other countries, like China, have extremely strict immigration policies. And no one accuses them of being racist.
China (which is the United States’ chief economic rival) severely restricts immigration, all while championing merit-based immigration in order to cultivate a highly-skilled workforce.
China has fast-track visas for “high-end talent” to encourage Nobel Prize winners, top scientists, and elite sports coaches to immigrate to their country — all while making it almost impossible for regular people to move there.

In contrast, Democrats want to flood the U.S. with unskilled, uneducated individuals from third-world countries, many of whom refuse to assimilate, respect the American flag or speak English.
“The Five” co-host Greg Gutfeld said President Trump deserves credit for pushing for the border wall.
“[Trump] is the wall. The wall was always a visual metaphor about enhanced border security. He has made it an issue. People are listening. He has made it the issue that people weren’t talking about.”
Gutfeld is right: President Trump is The Wall.
Exhibit A: Illegal aliens in the United States are pouring over the border into Canada amid fears about Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
As BizPac Review previously reported, hundreds of illegal immigrants from Syria, Haiti, Congo, and other third-world nations cross the border each day from the U.S. into Canada, where they believe the nation’s quasi-socialistic policies will offer them free housing and public assistance.

Not surprisingly, there has been increased uproar from Canadian citizens about the mass influx of illegals due to Justin Trudeau’s lax immigration policies.
Canada is learning the hard way that open border and unfettered illegal immigration don’t work. How do you like them apples, eh?
This is how @JustinTrudeau compares to @StephenHarper on illegal border crossings.
Canadians support legal immigration but something must be done about the surge in illegal border crossings under Trudeau's watch. His inaction is only making things worse #cdnpoli pic.twitter.com/3EmUBrXBTH
