Chick-fil-A plans to open its first international restaurant, revealing their plan on Wednesday to open a location in Toronto.
“Toronto is a great city – with diverse and caring people, a vibrant restaurant culture and a deep talent pool,” said Tim Tassopoulos president and chief operating officer of Chick-fil-A, according to Chick-fil-A’s press release. “These characteristics align perfectly with Chick-fil-A’s focus on community giving, delivering a premium restaurant experience and working with passionate people who can grow with our company.”
Chick-fil-A will be opening three Toronto locations that are scheduled for 2019 with a potential of 15 additional restaurants in the course of the following five years, according to the press release.
The fast food restaraunt continues to improve their sales from previous years. They made 7.9 million in 2016 and have profited 9 billion since then with 50 years of perpetual growth, according to USA Today. It previously had a temporary stand in the Calgary International Airport in 2014, according to USA Today.
Chick-fil-A is on the Top 100 list of 2018 Best Places to Work in the U.S. and is one of only three food service.
