Manafort trial could backfire on libs, may reveal explosive info on top Democratic political consultants

Paul Manafort’s upcoming trial for tax fraud could blow up in Democrats’ faces, as it may reveal explosive information about top Democratic political consultants like Tad Devine, who worked for former presidential candidates Bernie Sanders, Al Gore, and John Kerry.

The circus-like trial also spotlights the hypocrisy of Robert Mueller’s malicious prosecution of Manafort, a former Trump campaign aide, compared to the non-prosecution of former Democratic campaign aides.

Tad Devine was the chief strategist for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, a Hillary supporter.
Tad Devine was the chief strategist for former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Tad Devine was the chief strategist for Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign. He also worked for the failed presidential campaigns of Democrats Al Gore and John Kerry.

Like Manafort, Devine was also a paid consultant for Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych. Devine has suffered no legal consequences for doing the same thing that Manafort did.

But Devine is free while Manafort is rotting in jail in solitary confinement. The only difference between the two political consultants is that Manafort briefly worked for Donald Trump.

Why is Manafort — who’s accused of a white-collar crime — in solitary confinement anyway? That’s usually reserved for violent criminals.

The exhibit list for Paul Manafort’s upcoming federal trial lists Devine 16 times, including invoices, emails, and receipts. Other Dem political consultants listed in the court filing are Julian Mulvey, Daniel Rabin, and Adam Strasberg.

Mulvey, a business partner of Tad Devine, also worked on the Bernie Sanders campaign. Rabin and Strasberg are longtime liberal political consultants.

Manafort was the manager for Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign for five months. Trump ousted Manafort amid revelations that he failed to disclose his past lobbying work on behalf of Ukraine.

As part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s fruitless investigation of alleged collusion between Trump campaign aides and Russia, Mueller discovered that Manafort had allegedly evaded taxes several years before he joined the Trump campaign.

As BizPac Review previously reported, Manafort was indicted for tax evasion and money-laundering for business activities he engaged in between 2006 and 2014.

Manafort did not join the Trump campaign until April 2016, and was fired five months later, in August 2016.

This tangential indictment of Manafort for activities he engaged in BEFORE he worked for Donald Trump underscores once again that Mueller has no case against President Trump.

Legal experts like Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz say Manafort is being maliciously prosecuted in order to “squeeze” him to manufacture a case against Trump.

After more than a year of exhaustive investigations, Mueller’s team still has produced no evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.

So taxpayers have shelled out tens of millions of dollars for a probe that has yielded zero results.

Moreover, the integrity of Mueller’s investigation is severely compromised since his team is stacked with Democratic donors and former Obama lawyers.

In May 2018, Judge T. S. Ellis III slammed Mueller’s team, saying they’re only prosecuting Manafort as a pretext to bring down President Trump.

“You don’t really care about Mr. Manafort,” Ellis told Mueller’s team. “You really care about what information Mr. Manafort can give you to lead you to Mr. Trump and an impeachment.”

Ellis said the charges against Manafort “manifestly don’t have anything to do with the campaign or with Russian collusion,” and that Mueller is trying to “tighten the screws” on Manafort to manufacture a case against President Trump.

“I don’t see what relation this indictment has with anything the special counsel is authorized to investigate,” Judge Ellis said.

Manafort has pled not guilty to the charges against him. His trial is scheduled to start on July 31.

Earth to libs: The Manafort trial has nothing to do with President Trump, the “Russian collusion” hoax, or Trump’s 2016 campaign.
