Hillary Clinton, Winston Churchill and James Woods. Throw in a cigar and you’ve got a helluva zinger.

Failed Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, a feckless politician who bungled the government’s response to the Benghazi terror attack during her tenure as the secretary of state, seems to believe she’s a modern-day Winston Churchill .

“I’m sure they said that about Churchill between the wars, didn’t they?” she rhetorically asked The Guardian this week when asked whether she ought to shut up and go away to help America recover from the lingering bitterness of the 2016 election.

“I mean, I’m not comparing myself, but I’m just saying people said that, but he was right about Hitler, and a lot of people in England were wrong. And Churchill was a pain. He kept popping up all the time,” she added.

Actually, she did compare herself to Churchill by suggesting that her stubborn unwillingness to call it quits makes her some heroic figure equivalent to the man who some have argued single-handedly saved Western civilization from Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

The implicit declaration was so absurd that it inspired Hollywood actor James Woods to weigh in with his usual dose of sarcastic wit:

But it’s Clinton’s own rhetoric that ultimately gives her away. During the presidential election two years ago, she steadfastly refused to to be forthright about the greatest threat facing the Western world: Radical Islam.

That same year she proudly named German Chancellor Angela Merkel as her favorite world leader. Merkel is a veritable anti-Churchill who’s willingly allowed her country to be invaded by hordes of non-assimilating migrants.

And now that illegal immigrants happen to be hopping over the border like a horde of invaders, she opposes the Trump administration’s efforts to put a halt to it.

Newsflash to Clinton: Stoic leaders like Churchill — whom some have compared to your 2016 adversary, President Donald Trump — are willing to do whatever is necessary to protect their people, regardless of whom it might offend and how it may make them look.

This is the same woman who, after terrorists killed four Americans during the 2012 terror attack on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya, cared more about protecting her behind than trying to stop the radical Islamists from killing more people.

Like Woods rightly noted, “You, madame, are no Winston Churchill.”

Trump, on the other hand …
