Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert said he believes that operatives working for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein are spying on him.
“I don’t doubt for a minute that he has people who have been looking into my background. I’ve been told as much by some other folks,” Gohmert told WMAL’s “Morning on the Mall” radio show (listen below). “I’ve had people who work for the government saying, ‘They know everybody that comes into your office.’”
Gohmert said he doesn’t think Rosenstein is directly pulling the strings on the spying activity because he has to cover his butt, but he’s masterminding it.
Gohmert made the remarks after Rosenstein’s heated testimony this week before the House Judiciary Committee, where he got angry and defensive when asked why the Department of Justice has repeatedly refused to turn over documents.
“Why are you keeping information from Congress?” Representative Jim Jordan asked Rosenstein. “We have caught you hiding information!”

As BizPac Review previously reported, the Senate Judiciary Committee has slammed the FBI for slow-walking document requests in an attempt to redact out information that’s embarrassing to the FBI but is not sensitive or classified.
The Senate Judiciary Committee has oversight of the FBI, which operates under the DOJ. Rod Rosenstein is the deputy attorney general at the DOJ.
In one of numerous examples, the FBI took months to turn over documents related to disgraced former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, an Obama holdover who was fired for lying to the FBI.
It turns out that the delay was caused by McCabe’s cronies in the FBI redacting out information showing that McCabe wasted $70,000 in taxpayer money to buy an overpriced conference table and then tried to hide it from Congress.

While some liberals might dismiss Gohmert as a conspiracy theorist for suggesting that Obama holdovers in the DOJ and the FBI are spying on him, we now that that there’s a cabal in the upper levels of the FBI that spied on Trump campaign aides and are actively working to undermine the president even now.
CNN analyst Philip Mudd — a former deputy director of the FBI’s national security branch (appointed by Robert Mueller) — confirmed as much when he threatened President Trump during an unhinged rant on live TV in February 2018.

“The FBI people are ticked,” Mudd bellowed on CNN. “If you think you can push us off this because you can intimidate the director, you’d better think again! You’ve been around for 13 months. We’ve been around since 1908. I know how this game is going to be played! We’re going to win.”
With his on-air threat, Mudd inadvertently confirmed conspiracy theories about the existence of a Deep State trying to overthrow a duly elected president and subvert the will of millions of Americans.
