NoRA, a left-wing coalition of celebrities and activists who all want to decimate the Second Amendment, really stepped into it last week by trying to call out NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch for her alleged hypocrisy.
It all started Thursday when Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano, a proud member of NoRA, tweeted the following snooty message to the NRA: “We are winning.”
She was excited because a day earlier New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat, had pledged to sign a comprehensive gun control bill that had just made it through the state’s Congress.
Look:
Today, New Jersey passed sweeping gun safety legislation, including measures to expand background checks, reduce magazine capacity, and keep firearms out of the wrong hands.
On Wednesday, I'll sign these bills into law, establishing some of the toughest gun laws in the nation.
— Governor Phil Murphy (@GovMurphy) June 7, 2018
We are winning, @NRA. #NoRA https://t.co/pWxoYuBSCM
— Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) June 8, 2018
In response, Loesch retweeted a story from Twitchy critical of Milano’s claim.
“Can’t fix STUPID! Alyssa Milano claiming victory over the NRA (again) results in HILARIOUS backfire,” the story’s headline read.
The piece cited several examples to prove that Milano’s purported victory in New Jersey wasn’t much of a victory at all. Many of the proposals set to be signed by Murphy do nothing more than reinforce already existing laws.
Loesch’s decision to retweet the piece triggered the folks behind the NoRA’s Twitter account, who responded by juxtaposing her retweet with a retweet from earlier in the week in which one of her followers had urged the folks on Twitter to treat one another with “dignity and grace.”
They were trying to say that Loesch’s tweet lacked dignity and grace, thus making her a hypocrite. They also took shots at the NRA’s lobbying efforts, accusing it of lobbying on behalf of domestic abusers and against law enforcement officers.
Look:
Hypocrisy, .@DLoesch. As usual.
Like the .@nra claiming to support women while arguing for arrested abusers to keep guns in Vermont. Just like you claiming to support law enforcement while arguing against New Jersey laws that protect them from armor piercing rounds. #NoRA pic.twitter.com/HlMXCOXhOG

Though Loesch could have simply ignored the NoRA, she hit back fiercely by debunking every single one of the left-wing organization’s fallacious assertions.
Despite the left-wing group’s claims, arrested domestic abusers are really prohibited from being in possession of firearms. And the armor piercing rounds NoRA mentioned are already illegal in the state of New Jersey.
Read Loesch’s full response below:
Arrested abusers are prohibited possessors, 18 USC 922. Armor piercing rounds are already banned under NJ law, N.J.S.2C:39-6. You people really need to hire someone to operate your account who knows more about these issues. Your Tweets embarrass your cause. https://t.co/mJ11LwM108
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
Furthermore, the NRA supported legislation in several states that would fast track a domestic violence survivor’s CHL application (see Carol Browne) when she received a PO against her abuser. Anti-gun advocates like Alyssa’s group opposed empowering these women.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
Also note re arrest, POs render their targets prohibited persons. As with everything, due process must be upheld. Certain states’ regulations regarding process may differ (see SC wherein of you are charged with a felony you are classified as a prohibited person).
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
The biggest problem with leftists is they spend more time talking than they do listening. It’s as if they enjoy hearing the sound of their own voice. Former President Barack Obama was a perfect example of this. So is the NoRA.
Watch as the NoRA begins arguing with Loesch:
This is simply not true. Arrested domestic abusers are not prohibited possessors. CONVICTED domestic abusers are prohibited possessors. Those with PERMANENT DVROs are prohibited possessors. But @Dloesch and the @NRA do not want these people to keep guns until conviction. https://t.co/shW7RcpH8f
— #NoRA (@NoRA4USA) June 9, 2018
If you’re detained you’re prohibited from carry. Convicted are permanently stripped. POs render their targets prohibited persons. This isn’t rocket science. https://t.co/v2vwvqviW5
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
True, but one man’s common sense is another man’s rocket science.
Also not true re: NJ law on armor piercing bullets.
But it will be this week, @Dloesch. Don't you worry. #NoRA
* A2759, which will create an outright ban in the state on possessing armor-piercing bullets. The bill passed 37-0. It will be signed by @GovMurphy. #NoRA https://t.co/shW7RcpH8f
— #NoRA (@NoRA4USA) June 9, 2018
This is completely incorrect, and I cited for you in a previous Tweet the state statute that shows this, but please spend your resources on passing redundant legislation. https://t.co/pILcFDsHrL
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
Further — such ammo is already federally prohibited and banned under NJ law N.J.S.2C:39-6 save for LEO and military. I’m simply pointing this out. https://t.co/szBABf4DVo
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
Huh. Seems to us that we remember the @NRA insisting on exemption capability for "sporting" from the ATF director on armor piercing rounds. Is that no longer something the NRA wants?
Also, which sport, precisely, requires rounds that are designed to pierce body armor, @dloesch? https://t.co/ljiwIzqnPg
— #NoRA (@NoRA4USA) June 9, 2018
Considering how much you’ve proven to be wrong about I can’t accept your memories as support for your claims. You claimed said ammo wasn’t banned. I corrected you and provided state statute (also federally prohibited). Only LEO and military have access. https://t.co/w0J9B4JFtA
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
You also give zero attention to due process, @NoRA4USA , a foundational element of our republic. You want to strip people of rights on accusations alone without a fair trial while you bemoan police states. It’s completely illogical. https://t.co/VLCIe4UAnO
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
Now we're back to "due process." So what is it -should they keep their guns or not, @dloesch?
See, the due process argument is one that is well addressed already. And you know this. You just don't like it. #NoRA https://t.co/EDOTz6All6
— #NoRA (@NoRA4USA) June 9, 2018
If they’re convicted, absolutely the law should prevail. You’re the one arguing for a suspension of due process, not me. https://t.co/1X6CVmc3tg
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
To add, @NoRA4USA ,my life was protected from a bad guy with a gun, a prohibited person, by a lawfully armed good man. I have 1st hand experience w these issues, something I don’t wish on anyone. So stop the inference that a respect for due process means leniency for dom abusers. https://t.co/W0JO4m32OI
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
No, @dloesch, your life was endangered by a gun. And the @NRA does everything possible to ensure that continues to happen. You oppose ERPOs, expanded background checks, mandatory safe storage and trigger locks, and threaten any elected official who tries to do the right thing, https://t.co/TjFjVIrbgf
— #NoRA (@NoRA4USA) June 9, 2018
It was protected by a good guy with a gun. You don’t get to rewrite my life experiences to suit your “disarm women” agenda. You oppose due process and shame women who empower themselves with self defense. https://t.co/k8vt2NyiqA
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
Who is running this account? Good grief. Mocking women who are here today because of a good guy with a gun is no way to best serve your agenda. Stop undermining due process and study existing law on ammo. You’ll benefit from it. https://t.co/mNMSi8fw3C
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
Well, I’m glad the Hollywood group quoted here had the sense to delete this ridiculous Tweet. It made them look like a bad advocate for their cause. pic.twitter.com/PMOKoUC3bW
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) June 9, 2018
Afterward the NoRA went mostly quite, though it popped back later to sycophantly retweet a bunch of Milano’s latest posts and also issue the following blatant lie:
There was a mass shooting in North Hollywood early this morning. Reports of as many as 10 people were shot.
The @NRA opposes any basic regulation that could prevent mass shootings or make them less deadly. #VoteOrange
— #NoRA (@NoRA4USA) June 10, 2018
It wasn’t a mass shooting. It was a shooting at a house party, and five were injured, according to reports. It seems like NoRA just isn’t capable of ever telling the truth. What a shame.
