Mark Meadows drops the cold truth on John Brennan about deaths in Gaza

House Republican and Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows defended Israeli security forces attacks on Palestinian activists in Gaza Monday evening, arguing Israel had no choice but to defend themselves from violent protesters.

“Director, what exactly is a sovereign nation supposed to do when their borders are attacked?” Meadows tweeted Tuesday. “Israel has the right to defend itself against a terrorist group committed to destroying them. The responsibility lies with Hamas for using human shields to advance their violent cause.”

Meadows was responding to a tweet from former CIA Director John Brennan in which he blamed President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the deaths of more than 60 Palestinians Monday.

Tens of thousands of Palestinians gathered along the border at the Gaza security fence. Protest organizers encouraged protesters to breach the fence, which Israeli police warned would result in them doing anything necessary to prevent a breach.

Protesters tried to plant explosives at the border fence, which resulted in Israeli police opening fire to protect their border.

Ten of those killed were members of the Hamas’s internal security apparatus.
